Interesting decision...but I guess he's got some experience. He's been a goalie coach for a team in the OHL for a couple of years now, hasn't he?

By all accounts he's a great team guy
Kevin Woodley has had a bit to say about the hire:

disparaging comments aside, what does this add to the wolves and canucks? it's be interesting to see comments. ya, anyone can spout sh┤t but we've heard it all before so many times. i don't know of any credentials he brings so i'm curious about this appointment.
ok, replies while i was composing this. thanks

So we're in the process of trading Luongo and now we're bringing Cloutier back? Don't get me wrong... he's a great guy and I'm happy for him, but...

If he's teaching our goalies to fight... awesome. If he's in any way helping them learn positional goaltending and the art of 'stopping the puck' then...

I'd love to see Eddie Lack turn into the second coming of Ron Hextall!

I guess it's kind of like with teachers, sometimes it's not great to learn something from someone who "just gets it" because they never had to employ any kind of strategy to become proficient - sometimes it's the people who struggled to learn who are best suited to teach.
(Which I guess could just be a really really nice way of saying "those who can't, teach.."
)

wow the posters over reacting about this are just being tools, its not like hes coming back to play for us, hes a goaltending consultant. Usually the worse the player the better the coach so this is a good move
