Giroux has been an utter disappointment! He has like 40 points (if that) in 50+ games! What the hell!

Question here: Do players stats increase their ratings? So say I have a high potential player like B Schenn, would his rating go up more if he gets 50 points in a season compared to if he gets only 35 points in one season?

Thats exaactly what ive been trying to figure out. Id imagine the better a player performs the more his potential will turn to overall, thats how it was in all the previous dynasty modes. Some players might have a predetermined overall increase though so who knows. Guess we'll find out after a season or two.

It's based on minutes played now.

If you give a guy top 6 minutes, 4/4.5 star, he'll live up to his potential until it turns grey.

Here's the breakdown on the PS3 from Be a GM.

***s (Red) -> Means low chance of hitting full potential.
***'s (Yellow) -> Means medium chance of hitting full potential.
***'s (white) -> Means Has hit full potential or won't progress much further.
***'s (Green) -> Means has a high chance of reaching Potential. Examples. Johnathon Toews // Steven Stamkos.

EDIT: I think I just locked up Toews and Stamkos for the next 20 years lol. =D

I think their production plays into it a bit as well. But yeah it is mostly where you play them.
