1) Zdeno Chara(73.89%)

Rank them purely on their defensive play. Vote to add another below. I made some changes to the previous list.

If this isn't Weber something is wrong with the world.

Gorges. Lead the league in blocked shots and he never even goes down to block a shot and puts himself out of position. Guy just has amazing positioning and hockey sense.

Weber, IMO people are going to see next year that Suter benefits far more from Weber than the other way around.

Add Beauchemin, he's better defensively than at least 5-10 guys on the list. I know stats don't tell the whole story but since I doubt many on hfboards saw him play last season, he was third in the league in blocked shots, was 29th amongst defenseman in hits all while being very sound positionally. He also led the league in SHTOI. Without him last season the Ducks defense and PK would have been terrible.

Should've been Weber last time, so I'll go with him.

I voted Weber #1, I voted Weber #2.

Gee, this is a tough one

I see Scuderi is in, very nice, very nice indeed!

I will make it my personal mission to get him into the bottom 10.

Ya, I'll go with Weber.

It gets hard after that... Give me a toss up between Seabrook, Keith, and Hamhuis at #4/#5/#6. Then Pietrangelo maybe? It's just too close between these guys.. Staal should be right there too, only slightly behind Hamhuis I'd say.

Keith isn't that good defensively, imo. I'd still put Gorges, McDonagh, and Pietrangelo ahead of him.

There are far better options to add, like Orpik and Volchenkov.

Voted Weber.
