I'll say Schneider, but Rask could potentially be better in the not to distant future.

The one with the highest sv% in the history of the NHL over 68 games.(I'm pretty sure it's true)

Also, Boston has Chara.

Oh yeah, they suck. But if the subject is about team defense then they're the best, so deep and all. It's a trend that every fanbase here subjects themselves to.

How did you determine that Rask has more potential? It seems to me they both have very comparable ceilings. Neither guy has shown anything to indicate that they can't be superstar, franchise goalies.

Rask is the second highest at .926 vs .928, but he's also played 50% more games then Cory.

Bit of a silly question, when Rask has played more games...

But y'know, Rask it is.

Hamhuis is our only defenseman good defensively.

Boston has Chara, Seidenberg, etc.

Boston's defense, in their own zone, is easily better than ours

I went with Schneider but extremely close. I felt Rask hasn't won his position like Schneider has. Yes, I know Rask did this 2 years ago - but he didn't secure it the following year/Thomas won it back (Which was going to happen regardless based on his performance in the playoffs).

He lost his starting position to the guy that won the Vezina that year... Uhh

He didnt exactly fork it over to some scrub average goalie (not saying beating out Luongo [which Schnieder didn't even really do] is that easy either)

Rask because during the 2009-2010 season he was the Bruins #1 Goalie and has proved he can handle something like that, where as Schneider has always been a #2 Goalie.

True, apart from tending goal on the losing side during one of the greatest playoff series collapses in NHL history.

But then, Rask went on to lose that starting position. He had to wait for Tim Thomas to retire before getting a sniff again.

Schneider, stole the #1 role from one of the leagues best ever goaltenders.

It's a wash IMO. Vancouver give up more odd man rushes and quality chances. Boston are harder to score against because of the way they play.

That maybe true but blame for that should go to the whole Bruins team, so it's really easy and to blame Rask. Pierre McGuire says a major reason they lost was David Krechi getting hurt in the overtime of Game 4.

Tomas started the 2010-2011 season with at least 2 or 3 straight shootous, a very low G.A.A. and save % so the Bruins had no choice to play him and not Rask.
