Czech Junior guy in Karpat

Hey guys,

I would like to ask you, if there is anybody who seen any of the three first games of Karpat u20.

They have a new defender - Stepan Jenik - and I would like to ask you if anybody saw him in any of those games, how he was.
He is a one of the first 6 defenders in Czech republic international team U20 for the WJC in Russia by the end of this year.

Did anybody saw him play in Karpat? What do you think about this guy.

Thanks a lof fot your suggestions

Jenik isn’t that tall for a defenseman but he seems fairly sturdy. Average skater and his puck skills aren’t special, this sets a limit what he can do offensively. Did a pretty good job defensively but that’s expected from him as he’s one of the older defensemen on that team.

Vladimir Eminger moved to Kärpät a year ago and personally I like him more. He’s taller, has better mobility and makes fairly good decisions with the puck, nothing flashy but he gets the job done. Not that physical and needs to add strength, but he might develop into a fairly good pro player for European rinks.

It's still dirty, despite the turn.

Interesting, first Vladimir Eminger comes to play Kärpät U20 and now Stepan Jenik... And they aren't even from the same team. Vladimir Eminger so far has proven to be a capable guy and has already become the 6th/7th D-man on the mens roster after one year in Kärpät U20.

Junno/Aho have great connections in Czech Republic, but does anyone have any details on this Czech U20 invasion to Oulu? How it's set up, if there's any program or do they just pick promising players and offer them a chance to come over etc.

He was still facing the boards all the time, didn't really turn that much. Dixon should've known better.

His team is not doing well, they are loosing more than winning. Jenik has so far played 10 games and has picked up two assists.
