Going for Samson-style mullet power.

looks like Duchene made his debut going scoreless in a 4-0 defeat...Will be interesting to see if he can lift the Ambri at all, as a team with Jason Williams as their top scorer..

i heard that any NHL player playing in the Swedish Elite League had to play there for the whole season cuz there is no buyout clause. That aint happening with Duchene right?

That was intentioned but the league fixed the rule soon after since players wouldn't sign such contracts and prefer to sign somewhere else or in Allensvenskan.

No. It's a question about Swedish Elit league doesn't allow lock out players in their league, if is not for replacing injured key players.
Frölunda really really want him to stay, but "Hockeyligan AS" says no.
A really stupid rule IMO.
They doesn't even allow Henric Lundquist or Erik Karlsson to play for them, even though they would play for free.
If the NHL season is canceled, then there will be OK. They have to sign for the rest of the season, with no NHL out clausule.
So the Swedish Elite league doe's help the NHL with their CBA negotiations. The Swedish NHL players are not allowed to work at the top level in their home country. At level 2 in "Allsvenskan" they are allowed.

TSN doesn't even mention Duchene on the team.

All he had to do was actually hit someone for this. I don't think I saw him even try last year, given that he was hurt.

Do you know what's the really sad part? The only time I noticed him on the ice (I missed the 1st period) was when he threw those two good hits. He was completely invisible out there.

They have Duchene playing the PK and no PP time. He wasn't getting much ice time and they where playing the top 2 lines more last night.

Duchene did look like one of the best players for Canada. He was defiantly the fastest and most mobile of them.

He had 43 hits in 58 games, a 0.74 on average. In 2011 he had 0.71, so in fact he hit more last year than the year before( not by much mind you).

ROR on the other hand had a 0.76 average hit per game and a 0.71 the year before. They're about the same but it's fun pissing on Duchene when ever we can.
