Me also even with o'reily duchene and the rest of them, would have been good i think they could have created more chemistry and confidence and be dominating in a winning atmosphere even if its the AHL just my opinion
Even help there game positioning and awareness. And all the other stuff
Really doesn't matter to me where the guys play so long as they are ready to hit the ice here when this lockout finally ends. For the NHL vets (and yes I consider Captain Lando in that catagory after only one season), I feel like it's simply a matter of getting into and staying in game shape. If he wants to go down a tier and skate for his "home" team, that's perfectly fine with me. If anything it just says more about what a loyal guys Landeskog is.
I can tell you already people are going to be putting way too much stock into the stats of these guys which as far as their NHL fortunes are concerned are pretty much meaningless.
I always assumed the rationale behind not sending Lando and Duchene and others down to Erie was because they finally have a few talented forwards down there, and want them to get a lot of ice time to both grow their game, and make it easier to evaluate and compare with one another.

Pretty sure Duchene wouldn't have been eligible for LEM.
I think I read somewhere that only players on their first NHL contract would be eligible to play for their AHL affiliate and since Duchene just signed his second pro contract he couldn't play for Lake Erie.
Landeskog is arriving to a team in crysis and is considered a "saviour". The coach has a tactic that the players and especially the star players doesnt like and openly criticize in the media. And the coach openly criticize and names the players who "doesnt follow his orders". The ironic thing is that the coach is both GM and Head Coach. And he wants to play dump and chase, but hasnt signed players designed for that system.

Oh... the ironing... so delicious.

It doesn't really matter. Much like the NHL. None of us should really give a ****...hell, the two sides that actually matter don't, other-wise games would start this week.
It's all a money grab that leaves fans in the dark. Players say they got screwed but sign with leagues across the ocean, owners say they got screwed but still keep season ticket owners money...This is a fight nobody wanted but everyone was willing to participate in for more than a year. I can't believe the two sides didn't get together before the summer started. Screw 'em both. Watch local, love pee-wee and play again if even for the first time. Hockey is bigger, better and more wonderful than the NHL. I now sorta hope the NHL breaks as a businesss...Winter Classic/NHL Heritage games asides this is just a poorly run business. If you can't get **** together to start your league on time, you need better management.
Landeskog plays his first game for Djurgården today. He is on the first line with Dustin Johner and the all time leading points scorer in the SEL, Fredrik Bremberg. Landy is playing in number 92.
