If Dollard ran that team it would be a nightmare... Their peewee and bantam squads are weak and the coaching in Bantam is poor...

Will the Royals have the same talent pool to choose from as the espoir team ?
I guess the Royals will have a big advantage of having the sports étude team...

Royals may be at a disadvantage in the West Island. Parents there do not want to take their kids out of good private schools to play hockey (Sport-etudes). Look at the Espois Tigers and the Espoir Royals. The Royals have few cuts to make every year. One year they had to cut a couple of forwards and a goalie. The Tigers on the the other hand - have a large pool of talent to pick from every year.
My understanding is that there will be 1 Bantam AAA sport-etudes team and 1 Bantam AAA community team. Similar structure to the Espoir teams. The budgets for these teams will be similar to an Espoir team budget and basically run the same way with a minimum amount of practice ice time per week (4.5 hours) per Hockey Quebec guidelines.
The sport-étude team would also have a francophone school in the mix too - DesSources. So unlike the rest of the province the sport-exudes kids have somewhat of a choice of school to attend.
Coaches will have to named in the near future for the respective teams. So if you are serious about bantam hockey, I would wait then to determine which team I would have my on play for. Coaching is the the most important factor in development. The other is having the best play against the best.

It was kept very hush hush (and still is) since the general information meeting is next week. Looks like they are not going the sport etude route since they believe that parents should have a choice where kids go to school. I was also told that they will not take kids who are in sport etude because they cannot handle the load.
Does anyone have any information on the Westlake situation for peewee ? When will tryouts take place, will SIL be tied in to this new AAA-AA structure ? I know that for Bantam, it will definitely be tied in to sport etude. remains to be seen if the Tigers will also adapt the same structure as on the Grenadiers side

I heard that LSL will be as follows:
2 PWAAA teams, West Lake and DDV, and 2 PWAA teams DDV and Westlake.
I was told Bantam AAA is 1 regional team run out of Lakeshore, and that Bantam AA is 2 teams DDV and Westlake.
I was told that Bantam AA DDV would be based in DDO.
I was told differently. Bantam AAA-AA will be run out of HWI Sport Etude. I would also assume that there will be a AAA-AA team for parents not wanting their kids in sport etude.

I found something to back up what you said, apparently John Rennie has opened up space for kids to register if they are interested in trying out for Espoir, BT-AAA and BT-AA...
Multiple people have told be that Lakeshore got Bantam AAA and that Dollard got Bantam AA DDV.
Unless these guys have a High Performance (HP) certification or a Competition 2 and taking HP1 while they're on the job, they cannot get that job. They are looking for X-Pro hockey players or properly qualified coaches with player experience.

I know of someone who is going for their high performance certification this summer. You can get your team and then the HP.
Usually that's how it works.
What is this competition 2 ? I've never heard of it until recently. What does it cover ?
I have it myself. I spent 4 days in Windsor On. It covers all technical/tactical/mental/nutritional , yearly planning, off ice training etc.. etc.. plus you need your regional head coach to vouch for you before taking the course. He then needs to evaluate you at a practice and in a game. You also have to hand in an assignment after Comp 1 and another one after Comp 2. It needs to be a Hockey Quebec recognized team/association ... not any of that spring AAA hockey. It's a long and ardous process. You are correct about HP1. You can begin that stage once you have your team.
