Bieksa organizes charity game

This will probably sell out fast. Proceeds go to Canucks Children's Hospice

Damn, three days after I fly back to Kitimat. I went to the Brad May and Friends Charity game in 2005, that was great.

juice is such a dynamic off-ice presence, I wonder if he'll be a coach or GM or broadcaster when he retires?

I posted this on CDC. Send a message. Make a donation to the charity on line or whatever but don't go to the game. I am not taking sides in the lockout, but there are guilty parties all around.

The Brad May and Friends Charity Game was first hockey game I've attended live. I was the annoying little **** screaming "Linden" at the top of my lungs in the upper deck during the warm-up.

I remember, was it Cooke who threw his stick at B-Mo in the shootout that was pretty funny. And the huge ovation for Bert. Must have been 5 or 6 minutes long.

I go to the Old-Timers game here in Victoria when it comes around, John Garrett stopped by one year and Cliff Ronning always plays and does the old "rocket skates" trick. He brought Ty Ronning to them as well and Ty did the warmup, he's now a Vancouver Giants prospect.

if you donate, why would you not go to the game? aside from not being able to get off work on time etc
i just want to see some hockey in october, couldn't care less about the ethics involved

the players can have pick-up games whenever they want. i think this is giving the fans a chance to watch hockey, in other words the players thinking of the fans.

Will we know at what time of the day the tickets will be released or will it simply be at some point on Saturday?

10AM PDT according to ticketmaster.

Woops, beaten by 4 minutes... I probably should have refreshed before I posted.

You may want to boycott practically every product on the planet if "guilty parties" are your line in the sand.

I have taken a side, it's the side of the fans. I can't imagine what boycotting a charity game for CP would prove. Now boycotting Ticketmaster, THAT'S a worthy fight.

I hope in a couple weeks it's Bieksa and Friends vs Iginla and Friends. It doesn't even have to be a charity game. It would just be funny to see Buttman's reaction to it all.
