I wrote a response but apparently it didn't go through on here .....
Basically I had to sim last night because I was worried about the ea servers wiping out the league if I didn't. Pretty sure their clean-up is today and I didn't want to take that chance.
I removed Detroit who was the problem in the Western Conferance finals.. In fact I think I had to at least partially sim all his playoff series. I'll give Washington a couple days to play the cpu as Detroit won the sim and Washington has been a active member since he joined and should get the chance to wrap up his season on a good note.
I'm very disappointed in the amount of activity during the playoffs. I took the time to personally send every GM messages about their playoff series and details about who to contact yet apparently most people don't give a ****. There will be a activity check between the conclusion of the playoffs and the start of the off-season and basically if I don't hear back your gonna get kicked from the league. Expect a high volume of GM vacancies over the next week.
I apologize to all the active GM's who have had to deal with people who have decided to become detrimental members of this league. I'm gonna give it one more shot but if I don't see some improvement next season specifically in the playoffs, I'll probably throw in the towel. No point wasting my time messaging a bunch of people, trying to keep **** updated when a majority of the people I'm contacting don't give a ****.
To end on a bright note I'm developing a website for the league that should add a interesting touch.
Yeah basically if we have the same level of inactivity as we have experienced in these playoffs, I'll have a hard time justifying taking the time that I do to run the league. As long as the league is active and people are interested in playing their games then the league will continue to go forward, I'll continue to run it and do my best to keep everybody involved.
Hey guys, wanted to give everybody a quick update...
The off-season will get underway this weekend.
The draft will be held tomorrow night around 7:00 PM PST. I have received confirmation from about 50% of the league regarding their intention to return to the league and participate in the upcoming season. Over the weekend I will contact the remaining general managers and determine if they are going to be remaining in the league. I will post a off-season schedule soon.
I really like the idea of this league becoming a smaller community. We have a awesome base of general managers. A league that has some computer teams should allow us to play more of our scheduled games without hitting any dead schedule blocks. In my opinion this will help keep people interested in their team and how their season is progressing. This should also help establish more rivalries between teams as you will get to know your opponents strategies and play styles pretty well. Another positive is it would be easier for me to monitor all the general managers activity and prevent us from having another disappointing playoffs.
If you have yet to respond to the activity check and wish to remain in the league for next season please do on here. Will make things a lot easier on me the less people I have to call in the search party for!
D Ian Coliacavo 81 is available or a 4* prospect (D or forward) or 1st & 2nd round pick in 2015. (If top half of the draft just the 1st probably works).
Very good two way D, he has 86 speed, good shot, passing, and pretty solid defensively too. His contract is even pretty good too at around 3.8 mil.
I sent out a bunch of offers with him. I assume first one to accept gets him. Would consider counter offers but I think my offers were pretty reasonable, although I didn't really look at your team needs
