Should have let Cain take a swing at it.

81 pitches for Lohse. Can hopefully chase him out in 5 innings. How is the Cards' bullpen?

Meetings over, finally got game on.

Cards bullpen is really good, only one lefty: Scrabble (Rzy)

Lots of power arms, their MiL system is filled with power too. The bright side is most of them are fastball pitchers.

BTW I think Blanco is fast enough down the line that the double steal would've been a decent play, instead of the bunt. I think the cards would've given the Giants second for free because I feel like Blanco would've scored on a throw down to second.

Gotta capitalize on Lohse... they're not doing that. Cain is still not his old self.

Agreed. Even Bochy screws up from time to time.

Sick of Pablo's and Pence's worthlessness.

Cain looks sharp now, was he less sharp earlier? Stuff wise? Execution wise?

Cain seems to have picked a wrong time to run into a bad string of luck, his mistakes aren't being missed and going a long way. Granted playing better teams tend to do that.

EDIT:

Btw, even though Beltran's pretty much Ted Williams incarnate in the postseason, for what it's worth Matt Carpenter's career #'s (small sample size) is eerily similar to Beltran. I hate how deep this Cards team is...

The Giants can't lose this game. Two baserunners an inning and Cain doing his thing. If the three P's can get to their **** together it'll be over.

Gotta say, it is really refreshing to see optimism on the Sharks board heh. Love yours for the Giants.

Usually Sharks forum is a lot of /wrists and pessimism.

Nice hit Cain.

For a second there, I got flashbacks of Baker letting Mark Gardener hit with the bases loaded 5th inning in the 00 NLDS.

First pitch Fastball HR here Pagan!

I bet a Dodger fan that the Giants would get into the World Series so yeah I gotta keep hoping it happens!

Pagan can't hit unless there are no outs. Sick of these wasted opportunities. Won't surprise me if the Cards are about to run up the score on Cain.

Bet him that ARod will be wearing Dodger Blue next year too.

Only team stupid enough to eat any part of that contract.

Not sure which contract is worse, Ryan Howard's or ARod's second 200mil deal? LOL

Matt Cain needs to just keep this close, his pitch count still looks good.

Cards bullpen is great, but it's not exactly Mariano quality.

Only 1 batter for Rosenthal is a win.

Seriously Panda? FFS Run!

Matheny gave SF a huge break by putting the bullpen equivalent of Arroyo, pure junk guy, instead of the guy with 100mph heat.

The only positive I can say about Pence right now: Cards next two relievers are Fastball pitchers (Boggs/Motte) and he's due to run into one right?

Can we borrow Raul Ibanez since the Yanks are gonna be gone soon anyways.

0 rbis in the postseason for Pence. He makes A-Rod seem useful.

2 runners on base means it's time to strand them obviously.

Well, at least he didn't hit into a double play.
