Let's make a movie called: ''Innocence of NHL Fans'' and go out in the streets and burn NHL team flags.

Screw this, I'm going to start my own hockey league, with blackjack and hookers...

Baseball was huge too. It didn't recover from the 1994 strike until 4 years later when players like Marc McGwire and Sammy Sosa began taking enough steroids to break the home run record of Roger Maris. You can be sure they lost a lot of money between point A and point B.

This really sucks. I'm not even following the updates but I hear there's a growing consensus that the season is going to be cancelled.

I use to listen to tsn 990/690.. Now I don't.

I use to post on hfboards... Now, I don't so much.

I use to be excited about the Canadiens... Now, I'm just apathetic.

I don't want it to be this way, but it is.

I ask - should we just live without our winter pastime and simply adjust?

Maybe this apathy is a terrible thing - and I wonder, what can I do? What can we fans do?

All I see and hear is the same apathy and distant frustration from everyone.

Are we fans doing the right thing? Is there any kind of message we should/could deliver?

Are we all doing the right thing by being so passive about our discontent?
I think you should do a protest in front of the Bell

Let's take it a step further more, let's go burn other hockey fans, we'll make sure there's no one to cheer for you when you return!

agree , the league needs to shut down for the year and both sides have to get thier heads out of their A S S to move forward and make this league viable

as it stands right now , YOU CANT HAVE 30 VIABLE FRANCHISES , under this economic system

No amount of revenue sharing can help the bottom feeders , too much player salaries are paid out and not enough is coming in

the owners are stupiod for making 40 point players , 4 million dollar players , the players are retarded to think this can continue with some teams bordering on bankruptcy

In Baseball the Pirates make money , they will never be the Yankees but are viable and profitable

the NFL has total league wide revenue sharing , the Bills will never make what Dallas
makes from thier stadium and other revenue sources but are profitable cause the league is structured to be proftiable and a win win for the players and owners

WAKE UP RETARDS AND FIX THE SYSTEM , ITS BROKEN

True but the people in cities like here, Toronto and mostly the Canadian cities are simply just too hockey hungry and are going to go back no matter what right after the lockout is done. I honestly wouldn't mind at all to see the arenas empty to teach both a lesson. Even Bettman who is arrogant enough to say we have the best fans in the world and they will be back no matter what, FU

And then don't spend a penny on the NHL for at least a year after the lockout ends.
Why only 1 year?

For my part, I've stopped drinking Molson products and I'm developing a taste for other beer. It's nothing on the grand scale but it's my little protest against Geoff Molson for his role in all this.

The solution is so simple it boggles the mind - split revenues 50-50 and have some revenue sharing between teams.

Research shows that neither husband nor wife are better off spending time together
