That kid is good. I usually hate on the kid that gets to play next to the consensus #1, but Drouin is legitimately good.

Still reserving my judgement on him... That said, I saw him play during the WJC premiere and I must say, he's really promising. Exactly the kind of player Wild needs.

I've heard Drouin described as more of a playmaker. I hope we draft a goal scorer in this upcoming draft. Realistically, we'll probably go BPA in the 1st round.

That Drouin goal was nuts. Whats up with the new ISS rankings? Nichushkin ranked 2nd

I'd still like the Wild to go for a forward. Preferably a Center or LW. In the 10-20 range, that would be guys like Lazar, Shinkaruk, Wennberg, Rychel, Burakowsky, Gauthier, Compher, and Erne. I barely know anything about any of those guys, but that all look good to me. I saw a mock the other day where the Wild drafted 10th(a little higher than I think they'll go, but eh) and took Shinkaruk. Could definitely do worse.

I like the idea of drafting either the highest rated Defenseman or Center on their BPA list.

list your favorite 3 forwards and 3 dmen. exclude jones, mackinnon, drouin, and barkov. (list the ones we have a shot at) right now the wild get 11th overall.

If that is the case then that video clip is REALLY DISAPPOINTING because Drouin didn't lift his head once to look for teammates/ He just put his head down and skated. and that will not work in the NHL, he will get rocked.

He isn't much of a pure playmaker. The skills are there, but he likes to score, too.

forwards: Lazar, domi, zykov (think nichushkin will be gone, shinkarik is a little small for me that early in the 1st)

D-men: pulock, morrissey, ristolainen (we may or may not get our chance at risto)

Made a fool out of that one d-man like what, three times? No way that stuff works in the NHL, but it's pretty cool to watch nonetheless.

Poor #12, if he didn't lose his jock after those two dangles he must have after that exploding shoulder.

As many we need until we luckily grab someone who has the ability to steal Koivu's spot from him. Not saying get rid of Koivu, but a young hot shot center capable of becoming a first line center in the NHL is arguably the most valuable commodity in hockey and one we will be needing sooner rather than later.

We've been needing a 1st line center since this team came into existence.

You can never draft too many centers or defensemen, as those are the two hardest positions to fill via free agency...quality ones, anyways.

Considering our NHL depth at center is going to be Koivu and Brodziak, then maybe Larsson...yes we could use more centers.
