To completely steal this, we should do a 2012 redraft based solely on name awesomeness.

If the Wild don't get a top end pick, want Fasching...

All offense all the time!

Yup, 7 goals a night seems like a realistic pace to keep up.

If Eddy gets a top two -- no, top five pick, AGAIN -- any success they achieve in the future won't be seen as legitimate or recognized by anyone outside of Alberta.

Can't hold Eberle (or Klefbom maybe) against them because they nabbed them later in the 1st.. But add Jones or MacKinnon or even Monahan/Barkov to the previous three #1 overall picks, you'd have to be a real fool to not be able to win a Cup eventually.

But I guess there is that whole defense being important thing.

I already consider any success they achieve to be illigitimate.

I think Eddy has been a bit unlucky with their #1 picks. I think their REAL #1 pick in value is RNH. Hall and Yakupov (albeit he hasn't played an NHL game yet) seem rather second class first picks to me. I'm not saying they're not good but they're no Stamkoses, Malkins, Crosbys, Girouxes etc. They could've got three superstars with better luck.

Yeah, but they shouldn't have gotten RNH or Yakupov. The only rightful #1 pick was 2010 and Taylor Hall.

****ing lucky pieces of crap.

Hah. Oilers fan making a joke about the Oilers inadequacies and their inability to win anything other than the lottery. Hilarious....

Oilers aren't going to get a good pick. Pitt on the other hand....

There is absolutely no way they should get a top 5, or even top 10 pick.

Domi out of those three. But did you pick the 3 smallest first round prospects on purpose?

I've been whining about our lack of size in our forward corps for far too long to support us picking Domi in the first round.

Anyone know "real" heights for those three though?

Largest I see Domi is 5.10.
Lazar 6' 198 (guess he does have beef to him. EliteP had him at 5'10 156 or something)
Klimchuk 5'11. I think they are giving him a little.

Size? We got Bussieres, Bulmer, Coyle, Larsson. Not to mention Parise, Koivu, Clutterbuck, and Powe. Why does height matter? If the guy is a spark plug, height means little.

We have enough strong guys.

How much are they padding Domi's height? I see the OHL has him listed at 5'10" but the NHL lists Spurgeon as 5'9" and I think we all know how accurate that is.

A. Way to list people not on the NHL roster. Only one there I'd take is Coyle.

B. Parise is 5.11. Koivu 6.02. Clutterbuck 5.11. Powe 5.11. You just listed 3 undersized guys. Strong is one thing, strong AND talented is another.

That's why Montreal was such a force last year, because of all their undersized guys who were strong and had a real motor. That crappy LA Kings team went with size instead and look how poorly that worked out for them.

When talking about potential draft picks, prospects are relevant.

Also, I just hate it when people type 6'1'' as 6.01, 6'2'' as 6.02 and so forth. It's like taking an already retarded system, and making it even more retarded by implementing random decimals.
