Hockey Hall of Fame in August

Hey guys, my wife and I were thinking of taking a spur of the moment trip from LI to Toronto to watch a Jays game.

While planning the trip I realized it would be, quite possibly, the stupidest thing ever to go to Toronto and not stop by the Hockey Hall of Fame.

My question to you guys, since you live up there, is: what kind of crowd should I be ready for in the middle of August on a Saturday afternoon? Will it be packed?-we weren't planning on being in the city for more than a night, so I don't want to spend the entire day waiting on a line to get in, but at the same time, I'd really like to see the place. What type of wait should I expect?

Also, where can I get some cubans?

On a Saturday there will be a decent crowd, because tons of tourists come into the city during the summer. It probably won't be crowded though, and it shouldn't hinder your experience either.

Great, think for the info guys.

Looking forward to getting a look at what I've been told is the cleanest major city in NA.

I've been there a few times and it's never been busy. I think at the most there were like 10 other people in there at the same time. The only problem you may have is that I don't think the Stanley cup is there in the summer. The pens players get to do their thing with it. If it is though you'll be able to take your picture with it.

There are 2 Stanley Cups. One that travels, one that stays at the Hall. I was just there last week, and everything is intact.

There are actually 3 cups. The original cup and the replica of the current one are still on display. The one presented to players will be touring with the Penguins players.

I'm just gonna bump this because there's an ongoing deal for the HF with free tickets for kids tomorrow. Plus some other discount.

Quote:
The Hockey Hall of Fame is providing free admission (normally $11) to kids 13 and under on these dates in October (these are the dates the Leafs would normally have had a home game if there was not a lockout). This offer MIGHT continue to next month if the lockout's still going, who knows so I'd check their site.:
Thursday, October 18
Saturday, October 20
Tuesday, October 30

Discount code
Also if you buy your tickets online then you can use this code on any ticket to get $3.50 off per ticket (regular price $17.50) in the promo code field on this page - http://www.hhof.com/htmlGeneralInfo/gi10810.shtml :CHM

And this is another printable coupon I found you can use if you buy tickets there instead of online. It says it's valid, I'm unsure but this one you print and can use to get $4 off per person for up to 5 people:

Hockey Hall of Fame seems to have good reviews in general. It has a bunch of big trophies and is shiny so kids like it. If I'd gone there as a kid instead of going to science museums then I woulda spent hours. Also a nice way to try and make your kid/nephew/niece a hockey fan, they have some interactive type games for kids, I've never tried them.

TBH, It should be steady but still enjoyable, and if you're a huge fan then you shouldn't even notice the crowds that will be there. If it's your first time then are you going to enjoy yourself, interactive displays and all the history. Enjoy it man.
