You wouldnt listen to helpful advice in your tweets? I tweeted Usaine Bolt before his 100m and told him run like your neighbours daughters father is chasing you with a loaded gun down the street, honestly, I think I may have changed history...

Subban was on fire.

Gens had 40+ shots and could only manage to beat him once on a clean breakaway out of the penalty box.

I am glad he is able to work well and get points. He seems to have slowed down a bit.

Got my first look at Biggs in person last night. Was really surprised at his speed and overall skating. Very solid for a guy his size. Seemed like his hockey sense in both zones was pretty good. Excellent set up for the game tying goal and was tight defensively, throwing many checks. Overall very impressed and very excited for what this kids future holds.
Really good overall game by both teams. Was getting pretty chippy. The Biggs fight was on last night edition of Connected.

He's likely to be a pretty decent third liner imho

Thanks, I am debating on whether of driving out to Oshawa for tonight's game. Depends if I can get away from the office in due time.

If you guys have twitter, @bcphockeyblog watches a lot of Biggs, Rielly's and other Leafs prospects games and has some good insight on their play. Really helps for keeping tabs on them.

They were both good positioning to take advantage of defensive mistakes.

The first goal: the defenseman was chased around the net and tried to reverse the puck with a bank pass off the boards. It came out too sharply, right beside the net as Biggs was arriving to cut off a reverse pass. Quick hands and it was tucked in the post before the goalie had even turned his head.

Second goal was similar, goalie played the puck behind the net and threw it around the boards to avoid an oncoming forecheck, also reversing the puck. Biggs was waiting on the sideboards, and fired it in before the goalie could get back in the net
It was a pretty good shot for the angle, a right-hand shot on the right wing, he was about at the faceoff dot right on the boards.

Biggs got the second star of the game (Ceci was 1st, Caldwell of the 67s was 3rd - I thought Jenner also looked great, fast with good skill and he played in every situation). He didn't seem to be too effective in the 1st period playing on the 2nd (?) line - not with Jenner and Dal Colle - he took an undisciplined roughing call away from the play that cost the Generals a PP goal against (67s scored only on the PP all night!). He also tried to go for a big open ice hit (and missed), giving up an odd-man rush.

In the 2nd and 3rd he playing with Jenner and Dal Colle mainly, and therefore got more icetime and he looked good, getting physical more effectively (including one huge stand-up hit just inside his blueline to clear the puck right in front of me ), and obviously potting the pair of goals.

I was most impressed with his positioning and defense actually, he did get limited PK time towards the end of the game (penalties were something like 7 to 1), and was on the first line in overtime with Jenner. Other than the one missed hit in the 1st, he didn't chase the puck too much, he tended to stay back and let the play develop - sometimes I wanted to see him be a little more aggressive in the offensive zone with that frame, but he seemed to be keeping to a solid support role on the boards, not pinching down into the corner.

Also, Jenner impressed me a ton. Fast, always dangerous, played all situations (first line PP and also first line PK). Always noticeable on the ice.

Tyler's 2 goals on the Petes site. What was more interesting is the Gens celebration after the game winning goal. Playing with passion.

Both of Biggs goals were from give aways and a bad play from the goalie.

Not the most exciting goals, but all we really need is for him to be able to for check hard and clean up the garbage and it looks like he can do that.
