He's done it more than once, and posts under his real name. It's absolutely glorious.

I laugh at the fact that with every one of Hartnell's tweets I see, it's nothing but comments of "Seriously shut up and play hockey." Maybe if we badger the players enough they'll finally give in a bit.

On a related note, it's hilarious to me how many people chirp the NHL and official teams twitter accounts.

Like the unpaid intern who is forced to tweet rah-rah team banter and irrelevant historical stats is the one holding up the negotiations by being on twitter.

They might be the only ones though. Maybe some kids too, but that's it.

As I recall, last time he was on, he called someone an ass clown. Does not mince words, that Bob McKenzie.

I forget if this was the ass clown thread, but I remember another one where some guy posted something along the lines of "Bob McKenzie was just on (insert local radio station here) and reported (insert juicy trade rumor here)."

And then five minutes later, McKenzie posts "No, I didn't."

What's Mckenzie's user name anyway? There is a registered user BobMckenzie, but has never posted anything.

Don't think he's ever started a thread, but he's a lurker. Here's one a thread from when he released his 2010 Draft rankings: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...7&postcount=35

I saw McKenzie at the Draft a few weeks later and jokingly asked for my cigar. He was confused for a moment, chuckled, and replied "Oh, that was you."

Went to the same high school as her for a couple of years. Was a bit weird to see that on twitter yesterday.

That's actually really cool.

McKenzie is one of the few people that A) I would consider a legitimate journalist (vs. the other "journalists" with their "insiders"), and B) Enjoy reading what he has to say, and trust that it's credible.

They say this is supposed to be a BIG BIG BIG BIG week in the labor negotiations. Not just the ill legit scabs, but the reliable sources as well.

The truth is though that we have heard nothing. Even last week the meeting the day the NHL's proposal came out was announced the Saturday before. It's so quiet right now out of both sides that all you can hear is the sound of me, and other fans banging their heads against a wall, and throwing things!

Well they have 2 days to agree to something. Once they scratch a full season, it'll be a lot easier to shrink the season before eventually canceling the whole thing.

Yeah we're done the 2nd day of a 5 day work week. Sounds like the players are meeting tonight in preparation for meetings the rest of the week. I pretty much agree with CerebralGenesis on this subject.

To answer the first question. Some say end of November, others say Winter Classic. Some say end of November is when Winter Classic will have to be cancelled if a deal is not reached.

Contracts are done this year whether they play or not. Butler will be an RFA though. Along with Henrique, Josefson, and Tedenby, as well as maybe some AHL guys. Elias, Zubrus, Zidlicky, Janssen, Harrold UFA's, and if they don't change UFA age, Clarkson, and Zajac will be too.

I hope the nhl never comes back; I pay 30 bucks a game to see Sven Baertchi in Abbotsford, and I get to watch Kovy light up the KHL. If the NHL comes back, Baertschi will be called up and kovy wont play at 2 points per game, and Ill have to deal with ******** drama and other stuff that just doesnt exist at lower levels, because players in Abbotsford are playing for a living, playing for their careers, players in the NHL play for the contract, or for fame, and only abut half play for real reasons. The NHL just sucks

I'm not sure a complete lack of news is good, but for now I'll settle for at least no vitriol coming from the parties.

But there is news. NHL has agreed to lessen their demands on HRR and the PA is having a teleconference or something at 5 PM EST. It's just behind the scene news.

Thats very good news. If we can get the HRR settled, the rest would be too difficult
