AIH: October Articles of Interest

Hey Everyone,

Got some articles that may interest you from Arctic Ice Hockey:

Winnipeg Jets' Player Projections: The Top-Six Forwards
Rob Vollman (who has quite the resume) uses two different statistical methods to predict how some of the Jets' would have done for goals, assists and points. Last year they did this and were pretty much on the dot for all except Wheeler and Wellwood. Unfortunately it's based off of a full season of play, which we know we'll no longer have, but it's a good read non-the-less.

Winnipeg Jets Prospect Tracker - October Edition
The new format of SBN allows us to create story streams where you can constantly throw up new stories that are interconnected. This link will send you to where Garret (me) will keep track and update you all with stories and news on our Jets' prospects.

Winnipeg Jets in Europe - October 1-7 Edition
Derek has been daily updating us on Jets' (Kane, Antropov, Ponikarovsky and Pavelec) and former Jets (Kulda, Stapleton, Festerling and others) who are playing over seas. Check out this for stories, news and video clips of some European hockey.

Truck did a statistical break down of our Jets' and their performances:
By The Numbers: Measuring The Winnipeg Jets' Effectiveness - Defensemen Edition
A look at goals and shots for/against at even strength for our defensemen.
By The Numbers: Measuring The Winnipeg Jets' Effectiveness - Forwards
A look at goals and shots for/against at even strength for our forwards.
By The Numbers: Measuring The Winnipeg Jets' Penalty Kill Effectiveness - Defenders
A look at goals and shots for/against during the penalty kill for our defensemen.
By The Numbers: Measuring The Winnipeg Jets' Penalty Kill Effectiveness
A look at goals and shots for/against during the penalty kill for our forwards.
By The Numbers: Measuring The Winnipeg Jets' Effectiveness - Defensive Pairings
Using a similar format as Truck, I broke down how each defensemen did when playing in the top pairing and the second pairing.

All these articles will hopefully keep you busy.
We really want Arctic Ice Hockey to be a community, so I really encourage you guys to comment and even recommend things for us to look into.
Thanks Garret
