Not that it's any issue but in the title is says the Marlies are 11-7-0-1. I think their current record is 11-8-0-1.

Like the Announcers have been talking about during the break, I could see Gardiner - Kostka being a line in the NHL. They seem to have very good chemistry together, and make smart plays.

Also liking todays line-up (Colborne definitely needed a sitting after yesterdays game), Abbott has great hands and is setting up nice passes. I would actually like to see Colborne on the 4th line : D'Amigo - Colborne - Scott to get some energy in his game.

It's nice to see Kadri's stats finally starting to even out with him finding the back of the net recently. The lockout could turn out to be very good for Kadri, as he seems to have just started to find his stride now. He has 5 goals, 10 assists, and 15 points in his last 10 games, including today's game which isn't over yet. If he comes into shortened camp (assuming there is one) at 100 % like he's playing now, he and Frattin could start the year with the big club. I never gave up on Naz, and think he could break out as soon as this year at the NHL level.

How has Blacker looked so far this season. Has he improved from last year?

Still pretty raw. The effort and talent is there. He's just lacking poise, and is mistake prone from time to time. Experience will help, but I'd say he's more of a project right now. I like what I see though.

I'm not really too fond of what I've seen in his game. I know a lot of people are high on him though. I hope he puts it all together.

So, has Brad Ross been playing poorly? Or is he just not making a huge impact on the little bit of time he has been given?

I think he fought today.

Haven't noticed him enough to get more detailed.

How has Holzer looked? Almost forgot this guy was on the roster too, thought he was on a one-way contract and couldn't play.

Though I guess if much hasn't been said about him, he's been good (since that's the type of game he plays)?

Seguin is a "great one?" I find that the "great ones" usually average slightly more than a half a point per game in the playoffs. (then again, maybe you're hedging your bets with the use of "future star" in the next sentence or maybe the use of Seguin and "great one" is just sarcasm)

I'd definitely put him in the "star" category. Obviously sad he's not on our team but thats how the cookie crumbles

Holzer has looked great. Not sure if its just the last few games, but he really pests the other teams lol. Every game he has been getting into things with the teams and throwing hits at everyone or laying cheap hacks on all the players.

Love his play

Yeah that's great to hear, the Leafs need more ass hole types on their roster. Sorely lacking in that regard the past half dozen years.

How's Carter Ashton looking these days? His numbers look terribly disappointing, I wonder if we bought a lemon from Stevie Yzerman?

I think he's looked really good even with the low point total. He's quick and pretty much fearless. A real agitator. I think his low totals come from lower ice time and most of his time on what seems like the marlies energy line. He just started playing with aucoin and kadri a bit and has done well. With all that grit he'll be a keeper i think.

He started off pretty slow but has been one of the better forwards in the last couple weeks.

This is my list of Marlies that are ready to move into the NHL.

In order of most ready:

1. Paul Ranger
2. Matt Frattin
3. Nazem Kadri
4. Korbinian Holzer

5. Leo Komarov ( not really a Marlie)

1. Gardiner
2. Frattin
3. Komarov
4. Holzer
5. Kadri
6. Ranger

Paul Ranger is a UFA can be signed by any team.

I think the order isnt really needed. I think they all are NHL ready (the guys were looking at), but what is important is having a role available they have a reasonable shot at succeeding in.

Gardiner, Ranger (still shaking some of the rust tho IMO, but pretty damn clear he is an NHL player), Frattin, Kadri IMO could all play good roles on a team. Holzer I am less sold on but figure he will get his chance too.

That would be my list as well. The order fluctuates, But those are the 6 guys.
