Bonnar has a chance if he gets in Silva's face right away and pressures him.
Silva doesnt like that, he likes to take most of the first round to get his range before destroying guys. If you get after him right off the hop, he doesnt like it and doesnt really respond well.
I actually really like this card. Looking forward to it. I really hope though that E. Silva can avoid being laid on by Fitch. Would be a lame way for him to be knocked down a peg.

This will be a much different fight than his Forrest/Irvin matchups. Bonnar is a big 205 who is very well rounded, he can eat shots & it generally makes him fight better & I think he may have an advantage come te 3rd round (cardio).
If he cam steal rd 1 or 2 it could be interesting. I'm leaning towards him pulling off the upset actually. It's a fun fight, reminiscent of the pride days.

The one fight I'm really not sure about is Gambino v Brandao. Both guys just looked so terrible in their last fights, but generally I like what I've seen from Gambino. I'll go with Brandao as the safe pick because the fight is in Brazil, but I'm not confident in it at all.
Also, it looks like it could be on Prado to help Brazil run the table on the night.

Bonnar's a brawler... there's always that puncher's chance with a brawler.
I don't know if I'd really say Bonnar has a puncher's chance, he's not really known as a guy that knocks people out. But he has the size advantage and BJJ background that could give Silva trouble if he's able to get him to the ground. Put Bonnar in some of the positions Chael has had Silva and there's a chance Bonnar could submit him, or at least lay some heavier G'n'P.

I'm taking the American psycho, yes, yes I am. Hoping he fights smart and takes him down & does damage.
This is the opportunity this guy has been waiting for, he's wanted a big fight & I think he'll step up. Winning is a long shot but he'll be in the fight.
The silva/fitch fight is tough. Kid has looked like a phenom but you know he's never had a wrestler of fitch's caliber lock onto him.

Going with some upsets picking some of the Americans here but oh well. I know it might not mean much, but I thought Big Nog, and even Anderson to an extent, looked terrible at the weigh-ins. I also think Fitch will be able to stifle Erick Silva for three rounds and avoid the submission attempts.
