Not a chance in hell.

Take out the 1st and it's just: Not a chance.

Do you think Crawford is better than Kipper or something?

No, but Kipper is a lot older and has double the caphit. Not to mention look at Kipper's career stats, he's inconsistent as hell from season to season. I don't think Kipper has put up consecutive .915 seasons or better since the last lockout, IIRC.

Don't want to hear about the defense in front of him, and that's why not, because our current D ain't worth bragging about either.

Save the accounting for accountants and the ID checks for bouncers, this is hockey we are talking about.

He's been way overused by that team, that's why you are supposed to have two good goalies, so you don't have to run one guy into the ground.

Old or not, Kipper is still a top 10 starter and still the best lateral movement in the league. No goalie moves from post to post as good as Kipper.

Averaging about 75 games a year the last 7 years, you'd get more consistency if you gave him someone good to play with to give him a breather.

And who is that guy going to be? Crawford would be going the other way, and you hate Emery here more than anyone...

Me personally, I save the caphit and keep Stalberg, and hope Crow rebounds.

If people didn't know ages, they'd say Emery is 44 and Kipper is 24. It's about what they do on the ice, not ancillary ******** that doesn't matter one iota.

Hopefully the Luongo to Florida trade happens and we call Dale about Theodore as a quality backup, even Clemmer, either way. If the season gets cancelled, there will be numerous options. That's not even a concern, this is a golden age of goaltending, they are growing on trees, it just happens that we've shot ourselves in the face and decided we are happy to have the worst...why...who the hell kn0ws. Stop the drug Blowman.

I still don't see how Luongo to Florida makes sense, with Markstrom in the wings... but I haven't even bothered to open a thread on that in months, so maybe they got creative other ways. If I'm Florida, I tell them to shove it and not even listen to offers regarding Loungo.

What is this nonsense?

Is cap hit not part of hockey to you? Is giving up a potential future star player (a #1) for a stop gap goalie not hockey to you?

Rubbish post...

No way flames do it without a 1st to build for the future, they need picks and the 1st would probably be pretty low anyways from CHI.

Kipper is a huge upgrade on Crawford and Stalberg is easily replaceable. So its basically a 1st for Kipper and if you can get 3 good years from Kipper that alone is worth it. he makes the hawks a top contender again.

1) shocked that I agree with ColdSteel for once

2) disappointed in my fellow hawks fans who don't appreciate how good Kiprusoff really is. Ask any flames fan or watch the dude play.

He keeps Calgary from being a lottery pick every year and he does it with Jay freaking Bouwmeester as his D help.

The hawks would be a much, much better team after this deal. And people are really upset about a 1st rounder? We have one if the best prospect pools in the NHL.

Not to mention giving up Stalberg who was one of few players to score 20goals this season. And look at Kipper when he gets to the playoffs, he's Luongo like.
He isnt worth Stalberg and a 1st, I could careless about Crawford.

If we had a good back up goalie, I still wouldnt do it.
