Wow...great statements from Collberg's coach about his ability in the shootout and his desire to be there. I hope he desires to be here as well.

Glad to see Collberg had a solid tournament, will be interesting to see what he can do at next years since it's in Sweden. Very exciting player to have in the system imo, easily one of our most skilled prospects, should be a lot of fun to see how it ends up going for him over the next few years. The 1-2 punch of Galchenyuk and Collberg could be great for the Habs down the road!

Maybe Collberg can grab a bronze next year to round out his WJC trophy case!

Collberg should have an excellent WJC next year as a 19 year old. Lindholm will probably still be available to be his center. It should be a dominant duo on home ice.

I just hope TSN shows some of their round robin games next year!

I really like Ronnberg, not to trash Spott (though I couldn't care less if one did) but he seems like a more analytical, personal kind of coach. Glad Collberg has the resources he has.

Ronnberg definitely stands out as far as the WJC coaches go, if he's truly going to Frölunda I think that's a strong argument to keep Collberg in Sweden another year.

Absolutely, you keep Sebastian in Frolunda if Ronnberg's the new coach there. It's the logical move.

And Hamilton will most likely have so many RH shots fighting for ice time on RW (Gallagher, Kristo, Holland potentially, etc)...and I don't think Collberg would learn much from playing in the CHL unless he got drafted by a team that has Memorial Cup aspirations.

thats a very good point and I wouldn't mind that at all. I catched parts of his games I was mainly looking forward to see him during the WJC ... and he really impressed me more than other players I thought would stand out. Not comparing him to Martin St-louis ... but the balance between the great passing WHILE having such a great eye for goal made me think about him. He's one sneaky guy ... love it.

I could see it. They only have one euro coming back too since Bryukvin was an utter failure.

Rimouski also has plenty of money to slide a few brown enveloppes Collberg's way, which will be required to make him leave Sweden IMO.

And Rimouski will remind him of home. Man was it cold the one time I went there in early October, haha.

It would be crazy. I would take my season tickets for sure.

I thought Collberg played real well in that last half of the 3rd period. He does look like a player that can turn it up when the game's on the line. Can't go wrong with a clutch player like that. If he continues to get stronger and fill out he'll be a great player.

Even early in the season when no NHLers were on that team he barely played.

No. Only junior aged player we can recall is Gally. There was a list teams had to submit to the NHL.

That was a great comeback and valid point.

Might as well give it a chance I suppose.

Plus there was a limit of 2-3 I believe.
