Who will breakout next year? [2013 Edition]

I did this last year, interesting reading and seeing how much our team has changed.

Who breaks out next year?

I'm going with Cory Conacher. He'll prove his doubters wrong and turn into a solid 2nd line winger that gets 40-50 points next season.

Here's last years: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...643&highlight=

Last year I said Silf, so this year I am going with someone I could care less about if they get traded.

Jim O'brien

You got to choose someone that at least has a shot at being in the lineup.

I said this last year, but spezza screwed it up..

Kyle Turris will reach his potential and become that crazy point producer he was drafted to be by Gretzky himself...

He will hit a career high of 30 goals and 30-40 assists for 60-70 point season...

Kyle Turris will break out and score 55-65 points along with very good defense.

Are we only supposed to name one player?

If so, then Mark Stone. IMO Mark Stone wins the Calder next season.

If not, then Mika Zibanejad, Mark Stone, Jared Cowen and Jean Gabriel Pageau.

I've had this really good feeling about MacArthur ever since I heard the signing. After falling out of favour a bit in TO, a change of scenery may do wonders and rejuvenate him.

I like him and I think he's poised for a good year. He's my pick.

ok, where does mark stone fit in?

Ryan - Spezza - Michalek
Zibanejad - Turris - Macarthur/Conacher
Greening - Pageau -Neil/Stone/Hoffman?
O'Brien - Smith - Neil/Stone/Kassian

Methot - Kalsson
Cowen - Weir/gryba
Phillips - Corvo/boro/gryba

I think Ceci gets called up due to an injury and never leaves. Not rookie of the year or anything, but becomes an NHLer.

Well I chose Cowen & Regin last year lol....but I will have to go with Cowen again.

The player we saw at the end of the year is just a shade of what he will be next season. Book it.

A full off season to recover and train will get him back on track and he will be a #3 or #4 by the end of the season. 30 points wouldn't shock me either.

I see a Methot-Cowen tandem on the pk being one of the best pairings for that role. Both big dudes that are mobile, play solid d, and can block shots / hit like a truck.

I don't think Turris counts as I consider last season as his break out year. He was probably our best player outside of Andy.

I don't think Stone will get enough ice time on the 3rd or 4th line to put up the points I would consider "breaking out."
