It looks like Canucks fans are spewing a lot of venom towards the kid that did this. Its messed what happened but remember its just a kid, from what ive read, who did this.

Nice that Bieber gave a shout out on twitter to Vancity to his many many followers tho

Just terrible.

Even though I'm a Oilersfan,Rick Rypien was my favorite fighter in the league.

RIP Rypien

You will be missed

"Vandalized" while there are other Sharpied messages around that one... Obviously a kid who thought it was a drawing wall of some sort.

She made a mistake as it seems she didn't know what the wall was, but all the twitter hate she got just makes this worse.

It's incidents like this that make me think that twitter needs a confirmation button to give people time to think about what they are tweeting. It won't get rid of all these horrible tweets but at least some will reconsider what they are about to say.

Oh come on, you people defending them because there was previous markings with a sharpie.. clearly it wasn't there for the purpose of a justin bieber concert.

Meh, its really no different than tagging any other statue/monument. (which is still a bad thing) Its just that we all know the history of the Rypper monument and its fresh in our minds.

This. She should get some hate. She should think about what she's doing before she does it, some people just don't care.

Yes, either they were old enough to go to a concert in downtown Vancouver by themselves in which case they should be mature enough to not vandalize a memorial to somebodies life (and old enough to recognize it, it isn't that hard). Either that, or they had some horrible parents with them that allowed them to do that.

I agree death threats are overboard and unwarranted, but don't create excuses for them. What they did was wrong, and they should be forced to clean it up.

****ing idiot

I wonder if Simran Mann is at all related to, or knows Brock Anton? Absolutely disgraceful action here, whether it was intentional or not. If it was then I'm disgusted in the person who did it, if it wasn't, then I'm disgusted in this person's inability to be aware of what's in front of their ****ing face.

Pauser must spend of a lot of his time in disgust. Sounds unpleasant.

Not too hard to take the 10 seconds to realize what the messages say.

Someone tried using nail-polish remover to wash Bieber messages. The end result? Lots of Rypien messages damaged, too. http://t.co/dvQ4IXFu

A teenager did something stupid? Shocking. Try and think back to the stupid stuff you did as a kid before dumping on this girl.

Disgusting that someone would do such a thing & wouldn't take the time to see what the other sharpie messages said. As disgusting as it is so is sending hate messages to this girl, I don't think thats what Rypien would want or like.

I'd like to see an apology made by the kid & Beiber stop playing concerts forever after one final one with all money going to mindcheck.ca

Can't say I've ever done anything as bad as defacing a memorial.... Can you?

Yes, it is disturbing what this young person did. At the same time though, do you think this is an indication of a greater issue with society's children? Or, are our (adults) comments on the actions of today's youth the same as previous generations?
