I got this streaming through to my 40" LED with Apple TV, still alright.

Anyways, story of the first... I'd say pretty much nothing aside from the Barons parade to the penalty box. Danis crazy with the rebounds but standing tall so far.. could be 2 or even 3-0 LE after one... Schultz looks like one of the better players on the ice, he'll be one of those "heart attack" kind of players, it's still real early but that's the impression I get. A gamebreaker fo sho. Such a great skater, so fast, I think he's very confident to start. Excellent wrist shot too. He reminds me of Kris Letang.

Barely noticed RNH or Eberle aside from a couple dangles.

This is like their 1st preseason game, once they get their legs under them and start using their other linemate better IMO they'll be in a good spot.

I think a lot of it might be finding it hard to get up for a game with only a thousand or so people in the stands when you are used to 17,000. Kinda like the league I played in when I was in Bantam. Some rinks would be packed full of people, even for minor league games, and other rinks would be totally empty. I remember playing in little towns that used to pack their rinks and have like 700 people jammed into a rink that should only have 400 in it and then go play in Yorkton and there is two old guys watching you play in an arena that seats 3,500. Makes it hard to get up for the game when you skate out on the ice and it feels more like a practice environment to you than a game.

My jaw dropped when he took the puck end to end on the PK ... I honestly can't remember the last time I saw an Oilers' defenseman do that.

The one worry is that he's a little too skinny. He needs to continue to work on his strength because he will get worked over pretty good on the boards against NHL competition. However, offensively he is the goods and then some.

Bergeron used to try but rarely would he get past his own blue line.

I can. Paul mother freakin Coffey. I saw him play a couple of games last year and kind of thought that he played like Coffey but then also thought "Well, this is the NCAA, it's not exactly like these kids are world beaters". But hot damn, if he isn't making me feel all warm and squishy inside. And that feeling sir is nostalgia. Makes me go back to the days when I was a little kid in Edmonton

Yeah, that actually makes sense. I remember the difference. There will obviously be an adjusting period, I just never thought of that as part of it until now.

This guy has been dealt with, however I'm leaving this post up for now to remind people that hockey is a 3 period game and that you shouldn't be talking **** when a game is tied.

He does need to thicken up, I know that he made one high risk pass at least in the 1st, that said IMO you don't stifle creativity like he has, just teach him from his mistakes.

Seriously...All the worst games of my life were played in Yorkton. Not to mention every game played there once Stoll started playing there instead of Melville was impossible for me to do anything since I was lined up against him 3/4's of the time. But I still prefer to blame the lack of fans

I'm also watching this Canada vs Cuba soccer game on the TV while I watch the stream of this. Canada should be winning like 10-0 but they have only got one goal.

Haven't seen Shultz yet, as I'm really not interested in streaming much. But from what I've read and what the OKC coach says (Shultz is living up to the hype and then some...or something like that), it's starting to sound like our rebuild got a key piece. Might just speed this rebuild stuff up a year or so.

I can certainly see that, he's solid on the draws, physical, seemingly all over the ice.
