Pool has now shrunken down to 10 people, so we can add again. I will say this again, even though it probably won't matter, but don't forget past players when voting in the poll and adding your recommendations.
Well, there's some people that'll argue him in there, and they definitely can.
Brought us to our first SCF as Captain since 2003, he's been a consistent scorer and leader. He's been around almost just as long as Gionta, just doesn't have the cup ring he does, but their stats are similar and Parise was arguably more important in 2012 then Gionta in 2003.

I think the fact that his production is more recent will give him a boost, but his departure will help bring him back down closer to where he deserves to be.
He's definitely up there. Personally, I'd put him on the fringe, though.
He played Devils hockey through & through and was one of the better individual talents this team has had.... but I think not only the production, but the impact, that the remaining players of the A-Line and the EGG line strike me more above a lot of others.
I thought I'd have Parise in my top 20,but I'm still debating myself over how I rank the following:
Langenbrunner, Sykora, Arnott, Gionta, Richer, Gomez and McKay (no particular order)
I'm also trying to separate my previous bias, because Pando was one of my favorites before he fell off a cliff and went to the isles.

If Parise didn't leave this summer he would have been voted in the top 10. Funny how people's judgement changes so quickly
Objectively speaking, he doesn't deserve top 10, not with the previous cast of characters this team has had.
But, personally, I'd slot him anywhere between 18 & 25.
Which is no slight considering some of the players we've had.
Like I said, the fact that he's recent talent will boost him but his departure will bring his ranking back down to Earth.
I wouldn't have put Parise in the top 10 had he left or not. However had we beaten the Kings, I would rank him higher. Second captain to win a Stanley Cup for this team. Still the second captain to bring this team that far regardless, and for that I would put him in the top 15 for sure.
