I know he made some bad plays yesterday, but I wish Blacker was in. I feel like we aren't getting much creativity from the back end from anyone besides Gardiner.

The Marlies in-game host's voice is really annoying. They could've really chosen someone who didn't sound so ditzy/have a high-pitched voice

Not the only one, but certainly the one most expected to make something happen.

For everybody complaining about the PP, they said yesterday that there had been no chance to practice or set up strategies for the PP. I doubt that has changed in 1 day, especially after the game we had yesterday. Everybody is up in arms because we looked so good on it yesterday, but that was the unnatural game. What we see today is normal for our situation.

We also did score once. The refs just stole it from us.

Apparently Eakins said that he isn't going to work on the PP for a while. He said they have so much creativity on the team he is just going to let them run it for a bit, see what they can do

I'm a fan of a few AHL teams in particular, but I can appreciate any team with a good prospects setup, I listen and watch a crapload of AHL games per season. I guess, being from Europe, it's easier to not get dragged into the rivalries

I actually like that idea. You can cosh defence, but creativity not so much. If they figure things out themselves, how best to work together using their own strengths, they'll be that much more confident. But if they continue to struggle, then you impose some structure and see if it helps settle them down.

3 goal comeback, weirder things have happened.

By now, the Monsters really have to be tired... so many PK + the 3 game factor.

How many even strength goals have they scored?

Looks like it isn't just PP that hasn't been connecting.

It is just 2nd. game, so we shouldn't be evaluating indepth just yet.

PP has scored this season.

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

Big hit by Holzer. He's going to be a good, steady NHL defenseman. I think Fraser could be a #7 guy on the Leafs too. Would add some grit to our defense.

Gysbers and Yeo are in for Ranger and Blacker. Eakins pretty much said he'll rotate them in pairs.

I wonder how much poor conditioning is a factor. With a team having played three straight games and being shorthanded 9 times, the third period should be a lot more one-sided than this.
