Igor Grigorenko...
As everyone knows, Mr.Grigorenko courageously came back from a very serious car accident to play in the KHL; currently with Ufa Salavat Yulayev.
Is he a top 6 forward on his team?

He plays for CSKA now. Got traded few days ago.
He played in top6 in Ufa. Now in CSKA, he played only one game, at 1st line with Radulov brothers.

Yeah, and in that same game he got a gorgeous pass from Datsyuk which he has successfully converted.

Haha, I tend to forget that Grigorenko's rights belong to Detroit. I wonder if he will give NA hockey another try. He is almost 30 yo, but that shouldn't be a problem for the Red Wings

Man, the Grigorenko love around here is insane.
But yes, he was top 6 in Ufa usually with Radulov brothers or A.Radulov and Saprykin. Now that CSKA is rebuilding Salavat in Moscow, except Oleg back with the Red Army soon.

Indeed, it would be hard to describe the Red Wings' nucleus as being too young.

No way on earth. Wings' system is stacked with forwards, he would never make the NHL and I believe he's unwilling to sign a two-way contract.

I would never say never. Wings just signed Brunner even with their forward prospects. If they feel he could help and he wanted to it could be possible..if he plays well with Datsyuk. Remember Datsyuk really enjoyed playing with Holmstrom and now with Homer gone could use a homer replacement. If Pavel came back and had some positive things to say to Ken Holland about Igor I could see that door open. Again that's if he even wants to come to NA.

Obviously I'm far from being the only Igor Grigorenko follower.
The carom off the goalie's pads in Number 3 is sick!

I would have had this goal in the top 5 but it didn't even make the list on that video. Great video though.
Grigorenko goes high glove on Barulin from the faceoff circle in Game 2 of 2011 Gagarin Cup Final.
Start at 1:20

Thanks for the clip.
Great clutch goal.
I think goals scored with a championship on the line designate whether or not that scorer is "money".
Czech defenseman Miroslav Blaťák(wearing number 23) is also in the clip.
He was drafted by Detroit in the 4th round of the 2001 draft.
Another Red Wings connection! LOL

the trade that sent him to CSKA is very controversial, as Parshin was really loved.
On the other hand I am confused with the CSKA's forum, seems like many are willing to have the team loose to get rid of Bragin. It's clear, that the reason being is his spartak past, but fans are fast to make stuff up and the only thing they haven't accused Bragin yet is the end of Mayan calender.

Great setup by Datsyuk.
Grigorenko is wearing number 34 with his new team.
I guess someone on CSKA already had 27.
Does the jersey number 34 have any special significance in Russian hockey history
(i.e. No. 17 = Valeri Kharlomov; No. 15 = Alexander Yakushev)?

Grigorenko showing nasty side, getting in a fight with current Dynamo Moscow defenseman Janne Jalasvaara during a Russia v. Finland game.

Did they get thrown out of the game, or did they just get 5 each for fighting or some combination of 2 minute penalties 4 roughing?
