Barkovs been excellent in this game. U20 has definetly boosted his confidence up. He's been better than for example Mikko Koivu in this game so far.
I assume the second paragraph is your own line and not from Button's tweet?

Via Button, he scored twice (including a penalty shot in the 3rd) in a 5-4 shootout win.

What's up with the gold helmet? I have also seen Barkov wearing one in a highlight vid.

The player leading the team in points prior to the game wears gold helmet in FEL.

That first goal he scored was a beauty. Nice pass by Nemo and Barkov... Look at how calm he is! Doesn't give the goalie any chance.

In that kind of goals I keep wondering why on earth doesn't the goalie do nothing with his stick, poke the ****ing puck hell out there... But what do I know, i am no goalie.

Often because the player will notice it and just do a lite move and put the puck between the goalies legs, altough that move works sometimes but it wouldnt work on barkov

He sure would seem to be roaring back. Dale Hunter must be the key here.

There are many highlight vids in the MacKinnon thread. But the thing is it's very hard to put into context because he plays against boys.

Yes I know there is highlights but I want to see whole game or two. I have seen several Tappara game and that last one against TPS made me think that Barkov is ready atleast for EHT.. When 17year old boy looks better than stanley cup winner, NHL team captain or many other NHL player in same game, we can say that he is something special...

Exactly. I've tried to youtube-scout MacKinnon but it's impossible since after most of his goals I find myself shaking my head and wondering more about the terrible defence/goaltending.

It will be hard for Mackinnon to display his skills though since RNH will be stealing the show

I know you are kidding but in a way it will be easier for MacKinnon to produce and shine in a stacked team Canada compared to Barkov in team Finland. I think it will be just like last year that even the almighty team Canada will sacrifice one line to just one role: shut down Barkov (like last year with Granlund).
