Again going to have a lot of difficulty following NHL and college basketball simultaneously. In previous years I would disregard the NHL regular season because of college basketball, and you see why; because of a good day like this today when #1 loses and Butler beats Gonzaga at the last second. However it is difficult to ignore the NHL this season, because of the whole "Coming back from lockout" thing. So there's quite the conflict going on.
The U, with its RPI now at #4 FINALLY cracked the AP top 25 & Wednesday night they host The Dookies in what will be an incredible atmosphere in thier cozy campus arena.
Duke fan excited for the game as well. I think Miami matches up well if they can force duke to bad shots like they did to UNC. Dukes depth is severely weakened with Kelly out too. Should be a close one.
Proof that last night was a landmark win for The U - Sunday's game against FSU is now a sellout. That is something that would have been unheard of before last night's result. (even though its a rivalry game). Thier RPI still sits at a very strong #4 & thier strength of schedule RPI is now #1. Assuming they keep this winning thing going, this will serve them very well come seeding time on Selection Sunday.
