Well their first half was one of the weaker schedules in the NCAA. It's not much of a surprise.

Your assistant is one of the guys who helped destroy our program with Sampson, so he deserved whatever he got.

No one in the B1G is good but to be fair they've all been tested heavily by opponents within their own conference

It's given a more true representation of how that team will perform this month given the competition level.

Awesome, nerve-racking win for the Hoosiers.

I was at the MVC final today and this happened pregame: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-...05--ncaab.html

If you don't want to read the article, basically kid had to make a layup, FT, 3pt, and half court shot in 24 sec to win 50K. Well he hits the layup and FT but bypasses the 3 and nails the half court shot with 7 sec left on the clock yet celebrates like he just won 50K before realizing he didn't follow the directions.

I wouldn't have hired Meyer, but that is extremely unprofessional behavior. Also, Crean wouldn't have gotten his job without Sampson being forced out so this seems extremely phony. Do you think that if Thad Matta came across one of the coaches of the OSU basketball teams that recieved sanctions, he'd act like that? I very highly doubt it. I also highly doubt that the coach of Miami would act that way to the Missouri coach.

Who knows what really happened but apparently Meyer told Crean to go **** himself when Crean went to shake his hand in the line.

But hey, I read it on the internet so it could be false haha.

Why would he say that when not provoked? Meyer likes the facade of being a good Christian, saying something like that would blow his cover.

Per unbiased analysis site Mgoblog, Crean didn't shake hands with anyone

Message sent. Michigan out for vengeance.

yes he did

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ncaab--...030745166.html

In the chaos of the postgame handshake line, the two first exchanged words, then angry words, then backs bowed up in each others' faces angrier words during a prolonged interaction as they each rapidly and ridiculously patted the other on the back.

The dustup in front of the Wolverine bench was soon pushed aside, the handshake line continuing on, only to be resumed later near midcourt with Indiana assistant Tim Buckley forced to get between the two as more shouting, finger pointing and posturing mostly at this point by Crean was done.

Liberty won their conference tournament, since everyone makes it. They're in the tournament with a record of 15-20

"Crean on B1G teleconference says he apologized to Jeff Meyer on way to plane after game and wishes he'd never said anything to him."

Was probably a bad idea to mouth off

Seems like Crean was the escalator and he even said it in his teleconference

The whole issue is moot now

I wonder what SpinTheBlackCircle would say if someone walked up to Urban Meyer and accused him of being a crook for recruiting all these unsavory players to Florida and then resigning "for health reasons" when the heat became too much.
