Dislike the idea of moving Michalek for a rookie defenceman, but I really like Gormley...

PHX gets their top 6 forward they were looking for, Ottawa can cement a future core of young D.

Cowen/Karlsson
Gormley/Ceci

No.

I think Maloney could do more with the money owed to MM than the combination of losing Gormley and gaining Michalek.

As many Coyote fans will point out, our potential depth on D is looking pretty stacked but that's not yet confirmed.

I'd do this in a heart beat, but I doubt most of your fellow Sens fans agree.

Ottawa needs forwards more than defensive prospects. Plus this would put the Sens below the cap.

He joked on the Sens board that it would only take 5 posts for a Coyotes fan to offer Rundblad back to us.

Looks to me like he made sure that the 5th post was a Rundblad offer...

What cap? Lock out. We dont know what the new numbers will be.

Zibanejad, Silfverberg, Stone, Noesen, Puempel, Hoffman, Petersson

Are all knocking on the door.

Besides, Gormley we be above Boro and Weircioch on depth charts which means he would be 7th D until he replaced Lundin

Done and done. Michalek is just a regular 2nd line winger... and I like that the Sens get even younger.

Cowen - Karlsson
Gormley - Ceci

stacked

Not for Rundblad though... love his skill level but he was just awful last year. Worst defensive player to play in the NHL last year, hands down.

So what time frame are we talking about for this to happen... 3 weeks?

For the record, I still think that the Methot-Karlsson pairing is going to be ridiculously good. Methot is a PERFECT partner for Karlsson.

Methot shouldn't be anywhere near the top pair

Cowen - Karlsson
Phillips - Gonchar
Methot - Gormley
Lundin

I agree. Eventually Cowen will take that spot and if Methot is still around he will slide down the chart.

Methot stinks more than my farts after eating jellybeans.

Guy is a classic 3rd pair defenseman.

No thanks from this Coyotes fan. I'd love to add Michalek but not at the cost of Gormley.

fine.

But seriously, this has been proposed in the past and Yotes fans always reject it.

You know why?

They are Scrooges. They hog all crazy good young defensive players.

OEL, Yandle, Gormley, Stone, Rundblad, and prolly a few more 1st pairing guys in the pipeline. Scrooges.

Avs fans do because of their comments about Mueller during Avs/Yotes gamedays.
