This is one game this year my uncle, who's a huge Devils fan but spends most of the year in Maine, can come with me to. Was hoping to go under better circumstances. If nothing else, can we at least end the season with some dignity.
Senators coach, without question, deserves the Jack Adams. How they're in a playoff position with that roster is beyond comprehension.
They're running out of luck (and multiple Vezina-quality goaltenders), but they also just snapped a five game losing streak. They also played last night. If there was ever a chance for the Devils to make a statement, it's this game.
Also worth noting that this'll be the first game the Devils have played without both Volchenkov and Salvador in the lineup since the 10-11 season.
The way I see it, I want to see the Devils try to win. I want them - every single game - to try and ice the best lineup possible until it's absolutely moot. If they don't win and the pick gets better, I won't mind. If they win and the pick gets worse, I won't mind. Winning out the season sure helped the last team we had a lottery pick.
