No idea why people think the SEC got one of the B1G's bests in Bielema? Was just 37-19 in a league that's been crap since he arrived.

Eleven Warriors ‏@11W
The only team that really excelled during his time in the league, Ohio State, went 5-1 against him. Take a good look at UW's non-conf sched.
The non conference schedule is always hilarious. Since Bielema took over their non conference schedule by year has been awful. Even when they play teams from AQ schools it's always the bad teams like Washington State.

Next year they have Arizona State, BYU, Tennessee Tech and UMass (didn't even know they had a football team). They scheduled a home and home with Virginia Tech in 2016 and 2017 but with the way Virginia Tech is trending that isn't going to be a marquee school.

Fans aren't asking to play Alabama and LSU every year but nobody wants to watch them play Cal Poly, The Citadel or Wofford.

Almost everyone wants Grudog, naturally.

But some of the more reasonable people are looking at Vic Fangio, who can then bring Alex Smith with him. That won't happen either, because Jeff Lurie has said repeatedly that if he were to hire a new coach, it would always come from the offense

No idea if it's true or not but the rumor going around is that Chris Petersen is in Madison.

Now that would be an interesting hire. Not to mention a win for Badgers. I think Peterson is an upgrade on Bielema.

A huge upgrade. I hope this doesn't happen.

So is Temple now officially a stepping stone for under performing ACC schools to breed their up and coming coaches?

Also about as likely to happen as Bielema turning into a likable guy any time soon. Petersen is linked to every job that opens and by now it must be some sort of inside joke because I doubt Petersen even talks to most of those schools.

I just cant see the Eagles bringing in a guy like Chip Kelly. I know hes been mentioned. Doesnt seem like a good fit. At least right now. Way to much turmoil going on for a guy looking for his first NFL coaching gig IMO

heard a reporter on ESPN radio mention that he thinks Bielema is going to have a hard time recruiting down in SEC territory since he has spent a majority of his career recruiting in big10 territory/north.

He has a lot of connections down in Palm Beach County and a couple in Texas (both starting CB's are from Texas) but the guys he gets in Florida are the guys that Florida/Florida St/Miami don't want/can't fit in.

Bruce Feldman is a quality writer.

Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy, who had spoken to Arkansas and Tennessee about their openings, will remain with the Cowboys, sources told ESPN.

Barry Alvarez is coaching the Rose Bowl and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel beat writer says Chris Petersen is a legitimate candidate for the job.

Lot of talk about Butch Jones going to Colorado, and Charlie Strong to Louisville

However there are conflicting reports for both coaches

He might mean staying at Louisville, Pat Forde wrote an article last night that their athletic department was more confident about his chances of staying.

It would be funny if he stayed because then by the logic of some media talking heads (e.g. Dan Wetzel) the Big East/ACC are bigger than the SEC.

Louisiana Tech athletic director Bruce Van De Velde said he won't get in a bidding war with Cal for coach Sonny Dykes, suggesting, "I'm sure if he gets an offer, he'll consider it strongly."

Asking about Cal's field of candidates, Van De Velde also wondered, "Why haven't they talked to Mike MacIntyre? He's a hell of a coach."

Any chance Barry Alvarez watched Bill Snyder this year and thinks he misses the sidelines?
