To be honest with everyone as a diehard Avs fan, I'd be completely okay and almost hope they tank their entire season (if the NHL resumes) and draft Nathan MacKinnon first overall, the guy is the next big thing and just imagine the future of the Avs with Landeskog, Duchene, and MacKinnon up front! Scary good!

No thanks. I don't deny that Nathan is going to be a star but we have the tools in place to be a competitive team both now and even more so in the future. I can't go through another tank of a season and the team can't either for confidence purposes. I'll take hockey in April over a lottery pick and day.

I know I won't be watching the games but still...the thought of McNabb having to say, "Come on down to the Pepsi Center and watch Tyler Arnasson and your Colorado Avalanche take on [insert team.]" was awful hard to listen too a few years ago...are you sure you want another year of that coupled with the already losing is ok atmosphere Stastny has had to tolerate? Not sure that would be a good thing for the locker-room or the team even if they got 1st over-all. A losing mentality is extremely hard to break....
