Sid the Kid is awfully brazen for a guy that's a hit or two away from being the next Lindros. I never expected him to care about potentially injuring Giroux, but his arrogance is enough to drive people up the frickin wall.
How can the so-called face of the NHL be such a tool? This is ridiculous. It's fine to hate the Flyers and everyone on the team, but show some dignity and class, for dog's sake.
Meh. I don't expect him to feel bad. Anyone who does better check themselves.
What irks me is the "WELL THEY DO IT WORSE THAN EVERYONE ELSE!" response. I have no doubts that the Flyers look to stir it up after the whistle probably more than any other team in hockey, but these are no longer the Bullies. And what Pittsburgh did in the series against us, and the ridiculous incidents they've gotten away with in the last 5+ years....he shouldn't be bringing that up.

Yeah, agreed, I didn't expect him to feel bad about it, either. But such comments are something you expect would come out of a person's mouth 5 seconds after the incident, not when everything has settled down and especially not when we don't even have a season going on.

He wasn't too thrilled after the game either if I recall, but at least he showed up to the handshake line this time
I just hope our players carry the same disdain for the Penguins into the next few seasons as they'll clearly carry with them.
I don't expect him to feel bad. I just think he's a ***** for dodging Mike Richards for 5 years only to drop the gloves with little 30lbs less Claude Giroux. Where was this tough guy ******** around Richards?

I would love Rinaldo to just peg him in open ice once we get rolling.
I'd rather Rinaldo take it out on James Neal now.

Giroux threw a viscious uppercut in the fight too and barely missed. If that'd caught Sid in the chin, we'd be having another leaguewide discussion about when Crosby will play hockey again......and another one about how it's a good idea not to **** with 175 lb Claude Giroux

That uppercut would have put an end to crosby. Seriously that thing was real vicious.

If that had caught him on the chin, maybe he could have bit his own tounge off and we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Wow alot of biased philly fans here everything he said was true he might have caught Giroux's wrists by accident who cares? It's hockey **** happens he's still the face of the NHL and anyone saying that he's not or that Giroux is better are just plain dumb. Giroux has had two good season he didn't score 102 points in his first season in the NHL. Flyers are one of the dirtiest teams in the NHL and are always whining when something happens to them.
Why don't we all just take this Crosby interview and hatred to appreciate the freakin' beast man that Giroux is. I am thrilled he's a Flyer, dude is so badass.

Obviously we're biased Philly fans. This is the Flyers board... I don't expect Crosby to come out and admit it but the man's smugness is unbearable. So what if Giroux didn't score 102 points his first year? No one has said that Giroux is the better player, BUT he was undeniably the better player during that playoff series.

Accidentally on every faceoff? Yeah, I really believe that Giroux needed surgery on both of his wrists because Crosby 'accidentally' caught Giroux wrists a couple of times.

Oh, yeah. I'd like to see Crosby say these things in Hull and/or Philly.

Reverse roles of Crosby and Giroux in this scenario and I'd expect Penguins fans to be pissed, so I don't see what the problem is with the Flyers fans' reactions here. And again, reverse the roles, any Flyers fan that would go to the Penguins board and say stuff what gab said, I would have no problem calling said Flyers fan out for being an ***hole for going there just to start trolling.
