I've been trying to listen to music on my ASUS 300T tablet using high quality headphones (shure 840's), but when I plug them in and listen the sound doesn't seem balanced, and sounds like it's partially unplugged even though it's not. Any ideas, or settings I can play with?

not an expert, but I think you can find some kind of sound tweaker/booster app in the Play Store

Or if your tablet is rooted, you can flash the Beats Audio thingy

It does sound like your headphone port is defective or damaged.

My OG Transformer had the same issue, albeit intermittently. Never found a software solution.

Anyone use their phone/tablet to stream video to a 360/PS3/TV? What app do you guys use? I have an MHL/HDMI adapter but I'm not a huge fan of the cords.

Edit: Found one, it's called Skifta. You can even use the phone while it's streaming. Bloody fantastic.

Very cool, I'll have to try it out myself... when I get an HD TV.

Upgraded my Optimus 2X to CM10.1 from CM7.2 and man, I gotta say, it's been a breath of fresh air. Battery life is completely terrible with mild usage, but I was prepared for it.

Unless you're away from home, I'd turn mobile data off and use WIFI. Even with mobile data, using only 3G helps.

Screen brightness down to as low as you can deal with it.

check what programs you have running in the background. No need for stuff to run that you never use.

You can turn off automatic synching.

Using the music player will eat the battery up. Might be able to get 10 hours of music on a full battery.

I was lucky to get 12 hours on my GNex when I first had it. Constantly using 4G and playing games/checking news often just ate the battery alive. I now use the Power Toggles widget and when I'm home, can squeeze 24-48 hours out of the battery.

I use transit so I'm on my phone constantly. I have data on cause I'm usually surfing the web. I got to get those cases that have w.e. attached to it

I'll check out the auto sync. Might be it

the battery is about the same IMO on the nexus 4 and the nexus, maybe slightly better b/c the battery is bigger i think. one trick is to disable cell broadcasting

it does, however, take longer to charge i find

Are you honestly just finding out about the battery now? I'm pretty sure it has been documented since its release that the N4 has had a brutal battery. It's the one major downfall of the device.

Personally, when you showed your budget earlier, I think it would've been worth while to save up an extra $150 and buy a decent phone outright from any of the providers. The oneX or the GS3 were both within that price range.

I read up on the phone and didnt find anything on the battery. All I heard about the battery was that I couldn't replace it on the go...

I'm really considering trading it for another phone. I heard the Note 2 has 6-8 hours of screen time, but I hate the size of the phone. I look like a ****ing idiot using it.

Any other phone people here recommend? I could flip the phone in a week for the same price(my bro knows how to wrap items looking brand new.)

Deleting Facebook app, no NCS, no GPS, 10% brightness, no syncing.

Doing one charge cycle seeing how it does tomorrow.

Need to make an informed decision before I switch up a phone.. Don't know where to go from here though, I want my updates.

Are there any cases that have chargeable packs on em?

Just a question, do you have a job or go to school?
Because in the first few days of using the phone it's normal in the "honeymoon phase" to use your phone much heavier than you normally would.

But when that's over battery life tends to "seem" much better when you regulate usage to your normal patterns.

That being said, if you still want more battery life, Nexus Phones aren't exactly your best choice.

I do both.

School Monday to Friday, and work Saturday/Sunday.

I take transit. Which is why I'm on it 90% of the time.

I want like 4-5hr of screen time.

What would you recommend Sined?

Not much you can choose from in Canada.
There is the Galaxy S III with an extended battery.
The RAZR HD quite good battery life but shortcomings are significant.
The Galaxy Note II is really strong in the battery department but is LARGE.

What about phones from the states but would work for Koodo/Telus?

Argh.
