Those phones are so meh :/ ..

A lot better today ..

If I can get 4hrs+ I'll be okay with the phone.

I'm sure in the next couple months they'll release a chargeable case...?

I'm really considering trading it for another phone. I heard the Note 2 has 6-8 hours of screen time, but I hate the size of the phone. I look like a ****ing idiot using it.

Any other phone people here recommend? I could flip the phone in a week for the same price(my bro knows how to wrap items looking brand new.)
Galaxy Note 2.

Once you get over your fear of how strangers view you. Otherwise:

Optimus G
Galaxy S III
RAZR HD MAXX

All incredible phones for heavy users.

Having a tiny battery defeats the purpose of having such a powerful phone. Get the best, and go nuts using it. Big/extra batteries are the way to go.

Optimus G ? How?

Its not how people view me its just I'm 5'7" with small hands why the **** do I want to carry a tablet like phone on me at all times ?

If there's a chargeable case coming out soon I'll be happy.

@8% .

WiFi makes the difference here over 3g.

Anything else I could turn off... Hm. I welcome custom Roms if that means I can get 5hrs out of my phone.

Go check the Nexus 4 section of the

Subsection title should be "Android development" or something like that.

Browse the different ROM threads and see which one seems to be the best

what he said.

download the n4 toolkit, and all you have to do is press a couple numbers on your keyboard and voila...rooted.

it is so easy on the n4.

For custom ROM's? Mostly just functionality tweaks, and the occasional functionality add-on (for example, CyanogenMod has .flac support for music). Battery life may/may not improve - this depends wholly on the ROM in question.

Personally, I found custom kernels to offer a larger increase in battery life. When my Optimus 2X was still on CM7, I was using the ETaNa LITE kernel and I saw an approximately 2-3 hour improvement. Not sure about 4.2 kernels though, not willing to experiment until I've read through the various threads on XDA.

The Optimus G is a nice high-end phone. It has a premium feel. Efficient battery.

As for the Note 2, it requires a shift in how you carry your phone. Coat pocket or backpack/bag instead of pants pocket. Once/if you make the adjustment, you're golden. But it isn't for everyone, I hear ya.

Hope you find a battery solution!

The Note 2 is actually quite pocketable considering it's huge footprint.
Granted I don't wear skinny jeans nor do I wear baggy jeans.

Having a lot of fun with GO Launcher EX. I'm beginning to understand why people don't care for TouchWiz. Very bland compared to all you can do with an alternative launcher. Love the pop-up SMS window especially.

Have you tried Nova? GO Launcher was so slow and laggy on my phone.

Can't wait to get it this weekend. Target is selling it for $199 so hopefully I can get Best Buy to price match that and save 100 bucks.

Has anyone gotten flash to work on Jelly Bean? Got a Nexus 7 today.

Downloaded flash akp, but still no luck in trying to get streaming video. Tried Dolphin browser and Firefox. FF was brutally slow, so that was a short lived test.
