No, torrents I've downloaded. Like I just downloaded the Game of Thrones books but can't find where they went.

In app drawers, you should have a "downloads" app

Open it you should find your downloads list

You should be able to use your file manager and go into the directory titled "torrent".
Or the stock video app should have any videos already listed.

See I don't want to have an app for NHL, an app for NASCAR, an app for MLB, etc. I want just one all-around sports app, and The Score was the best of a bad lot (their liveblog for NASCAR was actually really good, quicker to update than NASCAR's own website during a race). I liked the clean "just text" look of it. Now it's gone all flashy like everybody else

It got worse by going for looks over speed, for example if you look at the NHL scores & schedules, instead of being text-only they now display all the team logos as well. They claim they've identified the root issue with "certain devices on Gingerbread" (which apparently includes me) and are working to fix it.

I use Yahoo Sportacular. It's always been fast and the score updates they send are quicker than any other app I've tried.

Thinking about buying a new phone, I like the S3 obvosuly but it's pricey, should I expect a price drop soon? If not, what android phones would you reccomend, I'm looking for something that is still fairly new software

You mention the S3 being pricey, so I don't think the Nexus 4 is an option but I'll pitch it to you anyways.

$309 for 8GB version and $359 16GB version.
Directly from Google Play.
No contract, no forced data plan, unlocked works with any GSM carrier in the world.

It will get software first.

You can save sections of the map for offline use in Google maps. Otherwise there are apps that contain maps of single cities - I've used the TripAdvisor apps while traveling and can't recommend them enough. If you want to have limitless map access offline though (like Google maps without using data), it's simply not feasible due to the memory that would take on the phone.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll hold off on updating.

The GS4 is expected to be announced at the Mobile World Congress at the end of february. I'm not sure if that will force price changes on the GS3, but I wouldn't count on across the board price drops it any time soon.

Through Amazon Wireless, the S3 on Verizon is 70$ and free on Sprint. Heck, the Note 2 on Sprint is only $100.

I wouldn't be shocked if the S3 price only drops $100-150 or so before it is discontinued. I don't think Samsung will keep it around as a value option, what with their other value models already available or announced.

Really hoping that Samsung announces the Galaxy Note 2 10.1 at that event. I'd kill for a stylus-centric android tablet with iPad resolution. In fact, I'm sort of mentally disassociating myself from the iPad already. Learning photoshop on a tablet will be a lot of fun. Can't bring myself to sit on a desktop/laptop to do it.

How does Amazon Wireless work? Like, are those prices undercutting what you get at the Sprint site itself? That'd be odd.

Just take Amazon's prices and bring it to Best Buy. They price match.

Yeah that sucks. Just need one of the 3 Best Buy's in my area to stay up for another 2 weeks so I can save $100.

I restarted it this morning. I haven't left the house yet. I am about to run some errands soon to places I know how to get to. Will report back later if it works
