Problem is Bears have Texans/49ers coming up soe the chances of seperation are not all that great (Very tough upcoming set of games)
Bears also still have 1 vs Lions / 2 vs Vikes and 1 vs Packers and NFC North division games are always brutal and toss ups
as long as you guys go 1-1 in those games, your still ahead of the Packers. besides, its not like those teams are unbeatable, the only issue the bears could have are those are excellent D-lines getting to Cutler

Not looking forward to the next two weeks. Hell, I'd be satisfied if the Bears finished 12-4 (w/ losses to Texans, 49ers, and Packers). Definitely going to be a tougher second half of the season. Still think the Bears 7-1 record is inflated with easy wins, but you gotta win those games too.

you'd be satisfied with a 12-4 record? what a surprise! but seriously, they are gonna lose a game that they should win. it happens to every team basically, unless your outclassing everyone else (Patriots 16-0 season) then an upset is mandatory. plus, theres no guarantees with Cutler and Forte being protected by their mediocre (not bad) offensive line. eventually they're gonna be in the same situation as the Panthers game except against a decent opponent

12-4 is a good record, but comparing a 7-1 first half to a 5-3 second half isn't appealing. Stuff like that leads to mediocre postseason performances.
If I'm a Bears fan, I hoping to split the series with GB and go 5-1 in the rest. I'd be eying 13-3 which doesn't sound like that much better than 12-4, but it will maintain momentum heading into the playoffs.
Yeah I didn't word that correctly. They should go 12-4 at the worst is what I meant. But yes I agree, it's always the teams you look past that get you.
i'm sick of the falcons barely edging out these teams they should be beating pretty handily. we couldn't convert on chances tonight and that will cost us against a more high-powered offense.
not like it really matters, seeing as we'd essentially have to lose out to not win our division, but i'd feel a lot more confident going into the playoffs if we can get a few more convincing victories. hopefully some rivalry games against the saints and bucs in the coming weeks will light them back up to the team we saw against the chargers and chiefs.
the defense tightened up well tonight, though, which is even more impressive considering weatherspoon was out. i know the cowboys don't have much of a run game, but i'm hoping they can keep the numbers similar to where they were tonight.
the Giants are lucky they were in it at all, with the calls in the first half. the Steelers outplayed them all over the field without the Giants defense playing clutch this could have been really bad
Ya, Eli has been really off the last couple games, and the running game was getting nowhere. On defence, the Giants couldn't stop Redman and that was why they lost.

I dont care the Bears record ,, As long as they can grab the #2 seed things would be splendid
A home game at Soldier Field following a bye is ideal
I've seen this movie before. I was ready to buy Cutler and Marshall authentic jerseys back in '08 before the castle came crashing down.
^
Well the Bears wont be hiring Josh McDaniels so the castle should be fine here in Chicago
Do wonder what would have happened to Eddie Royal if the Bears would have brought him in. His career has gone down the tubes since he lost Cutler as his QB and he is hitting bottom in SD
If the Chargers cut him loose the Bears would be wise to bring him in and reconnect him with Cutler/Marshall/Bates
Knox is still a ? in Bears future and wont be ready til next season

Trust me, I've been where you're at right now. I used to worship Cutler and Marshall.
Cutler may be a ****** and Marshall is a criminal but they are talented especially when together which I dont think anyone can deny. When Cutler is not getting pummeled by opposing D as a result of his horrid OL he is a pretty good QB
With Bears D/ST and Forte if the Bears can keep Cutler upright they have something here
This years Bears are much better team IMO then the 06 Bears and that team came a QB away from winning SB
Only part of Bears team this year that is not as good as 06 is the OL... I wish Cutler had Grossman's OL
Such a waste the years the Bears had Orton/Grossman starting in 05 and 06
