ZJ is picking up confidence. He looked pretty good with a little deke at the end there - he'll *** around.

Consensus: Zibby, Stone, Hoffman had really solid games. Cowen was a beast until he was injured. Silfv was okay. Petersson was off. Da Costa didn't see much action. Lehner let in three screened goals.

Stone had a pretty nice night doing a lot of little things, stealing pucks, picked up a good assist on a hardwork play. Zibby went beast mode in the 3rd period, threw a guy off his back and made a pass to Eckford that brought the game within 1. Then he undressed some guy coming down the wing but couldn't stuff it.

Cowen didn't come back after the 2nd period but early on again looking like his offensive game is destined to pick up in the NHL.

Didn't have much hope in Zibby before the season but he's so good in this game! He's so much like Fisher, with more skills.

Understatement.

Another lesson that people here need more patience. Actually, people's loss of confidence with Zibby was unfounded, never understood it.

I agree with this.

Lots of people had expectations for him to shoot the lights out last year and hit 30 points or something crazy like that in the SEL.. He didn't and too many people are crying flop so soon. He had a solid WJC for an 18 year old and will have another chance to do damage again. He's got the moxy and the talent to be an NHL player.

This illusion that he was going to be a superstar right out of the gate is perplexing. When we drafted him all the scouts and analysts said he was raw talent and needed time to develop. So let's be patient and let him develop. He's going to be a solid player.

Rattled to hear Cowen's injured. I really hope it's minor.

while I agree with you, i hope sens fans recognize that getting a mike fisher with more skills out of zibby would be a win.

Anybody who wants a Bingo schedule for their desktop wallpaper can feel free to use mine. It's 1900x1200 resolution so it'll fit on the vast majority of monitors. Click here to go see it.

Couldn't catch the game but shots were 44-21... I guess they dominated but can't win all 80 games. This team is powerful, can't wait until they mesh better

Didn't really notice because my following of this board has went down a lot last year... A big reason is I'm bit tired of all those trends and misconceptions, bias, lack of reality understanding, etc

So without being "HF heavy", I don't even know how could someone have been down on Zibby. He moved around a lot last year and also had to fight injuries... It's not like he had a full season in a junior league (where he would have dominated like other NA prospects do)... perform in stability playing vs kids is a lot easier than what Zibanejad went through last year, doh.

You missed Zibanejad hulk out for the last 15 minutes.

He was like, "Puny Bears bounce off Mika like mosquitos."

True story.

He was mentioned in trade rumours. We tend to not get attached to players that may end up being traded. It is pretty clear we are not trading him now, expect to see more love.
