Small sample size but I like what he see.

Hopefully his injury doesn't hamper his development.....

EDIT : Saugus did say that it wasn't that serious but you never know.....especially if it's of the 'Nagging' kind....

Since there's no roster limits on AHL teams(I don't think?) how about having Wedge up in Albany? We'd have a pretty good crowd of goalies up there to choose from. I'd imagine they sent Wedgewood to the E, so he could get some playing time, and regular starts. Frazee has been pretty fantastic up in Albany the whole year so I can't really hate on him. Hope it's not just a hot streak, but goaltending has been winning that team games, and getting them OT loser points. Kinkaid has as well.

There's no sense in bringing Wedge up to not play him. Better to get him the starts and experience in the ECHL.

Bernier, Carter, and Gionta should definitely NOT be seeing time on our third line.

I like how Parse plays. He's got a lot of energy and is pretty physical for his size. We also know he has obvious skill. I think we'll see him on New Jersey when the lockout ends.

Josefson is clearly the best Albany player right now. He is always around the puck and is so fast. Makes things happen nearly every shift.

Finally we got to see Butler's shot. That was a nice goal.

McPherson is a pretty bad skater. Reminds me a lot of Harry Young.

Urbom had an awful turnover at the point early on in the game. He should not be on the powerplay.

I like Corrente a lot. He is freaking physical for his stature. Had several great hits last night, and he's a good skater, as evidenced by a great back check to break up on odd man rush. I'm still an advocate of putting him on wing on our fourth line if his defense career doesn't work out.
thanks for the observations

parse is one of the few guys on albany im really watching..i just don't know how well he'd transition to the NHL. good thing smart old guys figure that stuff out.

i know frazee is impressive to a lot of people, but i think he's meant to be a great AHL-er. i dont see him in the big leagues, especially given our recent goaltending additions.

Frazee could be an NHL goalie. After all Mike Mckenna was right? Or at least he got a few starts!

I just don't think he'll be a starter with us. I do like that he's making a statement with his play in Albany that he isn't done here. I'm sure there's a good chance if something happens to one of our goaltenders before their contracts are up, that Frazee will be brought in to dress as backup, and maybe even play depending how long they're out for.

Hey games on here today if anyone wants to watch!

Bah Henrique still hasn't regained his breakaway skills! He was hooked though so no big deal.

Urbom pulls a Mike Mottau, and deflects a Norfolk shot in between Frazee's legs. 1-0 Norfolk.

Norfolk is now the Ducks affiliate, and they got this big Hiller/Jiggy looking padwall in net today.

Wiseman tipped Zalewski's shot. Nice answer to Norfolk's goal. Albany's scored goals 3 periods in a row! Has this happened all season?

Not too bad. Each team has a goal, and both were kinda the same. Deflected in. The Admirals goal went off Urbom, and I think the Devils goal might have went off an Admirals skate. Wiseman tipped it in from a Zalewski shot.

Sestito with a nice goal from an outlet pass by Burlon that sent Zalewski and Sestito in on a 2-on-1.

Sestito scores 4 on 4 I think to make it 2-1. Devils were on a PP, and Pesonen took a penalty after a scuffle after a whistle. That was the best thing to happen to their PP cause it sucks!

Sometimes I'm surprised Tim Sestito didn't do a better job in Newark. I feel like he's exactly that sort of energy player that Pete is looking for.
