Sorry to weigh in late, but I kept a close eye on Vail Friday. It was about as invisible as I've seen him. He wasn't bad per se, but he couldn't get much going. He tried to be the catalyst on the PP, but seemed to struggle to find an appropriate play and just resorted to the wrist shot through traffic.
He also is the go-to guy for moving the puck up ice, but he had trouble gaining the zone. And he was mediocre in the faceoff circle.
I'll chalk it up to it just not being his A-game. And to be fair, Kitchener is solid defensively. But not a banner night for Vail for sure.
Wow, Bennett having a great start to the season. Not sure if I want him joining Hamilton next year though with all the other guys we'll have there.

And, actually...I really really want to see Bennett with the Bulldogs next season, heck...maybe he can join the Bulldogs late in the season.
I even thought (just an assumption, not based on anything) that this season was the season for Bennett (joining Bulldogs).
May I have a question about who can join Bulldogs if they make the playoff this year.
In theory, can those players join Dogs in spring:
- CHL (Galchenyuk, Bozon, Hudon, etc.) ?
- NCAA (Kristo, Bennett, etc. ) ?
- Euro (Collberg, Nystrom, etc.) ?
In practice, is there any chance that one of them joins the team ?

The CHL and NCAA guys absolutely can. For the CHL guys, it's really up to the Habs brass.
The caveat for NCAA players is they must make the decision to leave school officially before joining the Dogs for the playoffs.

Any of them could go to Hamilton once their current season is over.
