Granlund little frustrated in the end of second. He really needs the puck on PP.

#4 terrible play there, a lot of poor defensive reads and bad positioning on that shift.

For as much as many of us were questioning Coyle's strength since he manhandled boys in the QMJHL last year, he has ragdolled 3 Stars tonight.

Well, another minus for our 3rd line...

They need to learn from the 4th line. They need to work harder along the wall imo.

First, I'm not trying to pick an argument- I totally get why some were concerned. But IMO, if you got to see his willingness to use the body every night like he did in the Q, it was obvious he would transfer it to the next level. Adding 15lbs this summer also helps.

i'm very tempted to demand that Brodin and Scandella get to play together with the Wild.

I don't think I'd considered how similar those names would look on the back of a jersey until now.

That's fair. I did not get to see him except in the WJC.

I never got the "Coyle is just a man among boys" bit. He was clearly bigger and stronger, but he's still going to be bigger and stronger than a lot of guys in the NHL.

there was a big difference between how effective he was in NCAA and the Q. I'm sure it was a combo of things, but his size advantage was a lot more evident in the Q from what i've heard from people who watched both.

1st line and 4th line have been great tonight.

Bulmer has looked fine on the 3rd line. Did not see where he was on that goal, though.

Otherwise, don't think the second has enough size/grit to cycle or win puck battles. Rau and Fontaine are not big and that is not their game.

Palmieri has once again been invisible and Larsson has not been that great.

McIntyre from Palmer and maybe Brodin? Great start by Bacon, GREAT play (again) by Palmer, great finish by McIntyre. Stars looked lost.
