Is CBC anti Leafs? I thought we get preferential treatment when it comes to the regular broadcasting schedule due to our large fan base.

My belief (and I could be wrong) is that CBC intentionally trashes the Leafs to appeal to the non-Leaf fans. The Leaf fans are going to watch anyway, so why worry about making the broadcast appealing to them?

That would explain Glenn Healy.

The only good part of the lockout is not having to hear that ass hat speak.

Not intentionally. Hard to praise such a poor team.

I agree with this . The Toronto media in general craps on the Leafs to make the haters happy .

CBC shows the Leafs the most to line their pockets, not to give any special treatment to Leafs fans.

To be fair, nobody likes Healy. I'm pretty sure he's the most universally hated broadcaster in all of hockey, if not sports. Why that man still has a job is beyond me, and I wish he'd stop calling Leafs games.

i love when glen healey starts a sentence with " when i played in the nhl... " ..
he should say " when i barely played in the nhl.. "
not even sure he ever hit a .900 save percentage ever over a season.

Another guy i hate.. nick kyprios .. but we won't get in to him.

Agreed. Healey bugs me so much because all he ever came to was a back up goalie. I really like Kevin Weekes because he doesn't make these massive bold statements that Healey does. Weekes calls the game how he knows it.

Agreed on Kypreos too.

But... but... he has a Cup ring! And he had so much to do with his team winning it in the first place!

When a team stinks like the current one does no one is supposed to acknowledge that?

You know he used to praise a lot of things Leafs: Sundin, Belfour, Leetch, JFJ, etc. He doesn't hate the team and he doesn't talk nonsense either. If this thread is going to be Healy bashing (discrediting his opinions as a media person by mentioning his hockey stats), then just look at the Eastern confirence standings over the last 6 years.

All this aside, I think every Leaf fan should see Detroit VS Toronto 1993 playoffs game 7. It's amazing to watch a resilient leafs team play an unbelievably stacked team like Detroit.

I did as well. Doesn't look like we'll get what we want.

Pierre, while overly excited at most times, is extremely knowledgeable and knows what's going on. He may be a bit annoying and over the top at times but hated is going a bit far with him.

Agree with Hurt, I actually like Pierre. Though I do acknowledge that many do not like him, I'm still positive it's Healy by a long shot as most hated.

I already saw all of those games. I would much rather watch live NHL hockey. But because the brainiacs who run and play this game are having a pissing contest fans get to watch re-runs. Fun!
