St-Denis has so much poise. I think he's ready to make the jump to the nhl. Maybe add some size and he'd be that shutdown guy we need on the 3rd pairing
Geoffrion is going for a hit and the Marlies player ducked out of the way like a little ***** and Tinordi is trying to engage a fight with another guy and that player is too scared to go at it.

The habs are lacking a big body presence on the D-Corps to clear the crease. As good as St-Denis is, he's more of the same.
Holland is impressing me. Actually the whole team is showing some things offensively (nice passes, vision) that I wasn't expecting this early on. Defensively... ugh..
The leafs D move the puck too well for our guys. When they get that puck in deep then send it back to the blue line, we're gonna have a bad time.

Those saves by Delmas we're pretty sweet. Second one was amazing. I like Dumont too.
Why no ice time for Gallagher? Finally got a shift on the PP and coula scored if he one timed the shot but his release was very slow. (Probably from sitting on the bench for the first 16 minutes of the game? )
After a very good game from Tinordi, he looks a bit out of place tonight. Surprised as I couldn't stop praising him last night. Beaulieu is amazing at joining in the forward group but he better learn to control that IMO, I so far love what he's doing but I hope he learns when and when not to do that.

The time he took to take that shot likely would have been a goal in the Juniors, but in the AHL you need to get that shot off the second the puck hits your stick.
Baby Habs don't seem to be too fast tonight. Though they, as a whole, are not a fast bunch to begin with. From skating to decision making. But you have to expect those kinds of games from such a young squad. One game they'll be all fired up, the other they'll just be as flat as you can be.
As far as this game is concerned, it's great to see Beaulieu and Holland. Just this one period, you look at Beaulieu and feels he's a man amongst boys. Yet, he will be making mistakes soon that will make you say he belongs where he's at....and it's true. But we've got a good one there.
But there's a clear lack of pure skills in that squad. Reason why it would have been appropriate to see Kristo in there....
First goal was pretty fluky but the 2nd goal was on Boyce. Isn't he the center of his line? Why was he floating near the point while his defense was obviously getting pressured, he didn't cover his man on that goal. And the 3rd goal WTF was Beaulieu thinking by not only getting caught pinching but does he think he's some sort of NBA player with mad hops because no way he was gonna catch that puck in mid-air. Tinordi and Nash didn't have their shifts either but the defense as a whole looked pretty lost. I clearly see what people meant in the previous threads that there was gonna be games like that because the team is filled with promising but young talents with no pro level experience and they're adapting. Oh and I forgot how annoying Yvonne Pednault was, Jesus Christ...

He will......"see Subban".
Not sure why you are surprised about Tinordi. This is what being a rookie is all about. Great one day, not so great the other. His ordinairy speed will show more on one day compared to the other especially when his reading of the game is off. Tinordi needs to be perfect technically if he doesn't want to be too far behind.
Beaulieu's skating is deceiving people into thinking he looks good out there IMO. His skating is amazing and he was handling the puck well but holy **** his positioning is brutal and he pinches way too much. This is the first I've watched him since his brutal Memorial Cup games and I'm still not impressed by the lack of D.

We cant really ask them to be consistent after 3 games. I think last night we saw what Tinordi can bring to the team and this night we see that he's not ready to be that good every night. Which is completely normal. I like what I saw from Beaulieu on the PP. He needs to work on his shot, might be just the timing since the players on the PK in the AHL are better at blocking shots then in the QMJHL.
They're rookie. But like you, I really really liked what I saw from Tinordi last night. Maybe he's tired tonight.
