NCAA Top 20 Prospects

I cannot believe that Robbie Earl is not on this list. I mean, I am not saying that he should be in the top 3 or 5, but to not even make the TOP 20!!! This is such a slap in the face to all Leaf fans and Rob himself.

Just more fodder for the people that want to downplay the Leafs' prospects. For some crazy reason he is in Toronto's top 5 prospects which just belittles more deserving players beneath him.

It really isn't a slap at all .. Earl is a good young player .. but there are lots of good young players in the NCAA .. Robbie Earl was not selected to play for his country in the WJC either ..and so that reflects on this process as well ..

Nothing against Earl at all .... personally leaf Fans do overate him based on his accomplisments to date in the NCAA .. He has the skills that Leafs need so dearly .. the speed the offense and a young future scoring winger .. but Earl is far from a complete player and as exciting as he is to watch is anything put a sure thing for success in the future ..

Here take a look and try to find Earl in any scoring category in the NCAA

http://www.uscho.com/stats/

So it is far from a stretch to see why 2nd year player like Earl is not one of the top NCAA players this year .. Easily ..but is that a slap in the face .. not by a long shot IMO ..

Well Earl does have a lot of upside, but he is a boom or bust type of guy. Don't you think top 20 lists are reserved more for sure things
