Too top heavy on the forwards. Need some better bottom 6. Especially 3rd line.
I found that until I had a good top 9 I didn;t go faar in the playoffs. Now in 2020 I have 80+ on top 3, with 4th liners around 78, but 90+ def awareness.
D are all over 80 as well.
Once you build up some of your prospects you will have a dangerous team!!
Thanks, I agree with you.
I was stunned at how good the team did...
I find a star upfront helps a ton...
I'm leaving the Habs after this season though lol.. I don't like the Habs.. I'm gunna look at getting a 5yr deal with a rebuilding team that has a 3rd Jersey... That way I won't get annoyed when I play.
Trading for Yak and Hub will be a *****... 88 and 93 now...
Walter White was announced today as the new GM of the Nashville Predators, in a hold move they poached the former GM of the Montreal Canadiens, who left the team after his deal expired in May.
I'm excited to be here for the next 5 years, we will go from pretender to contender. I'm looking forward to getting started, we need to get younger, expect a few trades. We still a few years away but I think the playoffs next year is a realistic goal. -Walter White
It's a big step for a small franchise that wants to be taken seriously, let's see what happens in Nashville, and which Habs will follow their GM...
Started the 2013-14 season with Anaheim on a 9 game road trip....including a stretch where we play in San Jose on both the 12th and 13th, have the 14th off and play again in San Jose on the 15th! 3 games in 4 nights, all at another team's barn. That doesn't even happen in the playoffs....

Haha, its hilarious how unrealistic the schedule gets. I just had a roadtrip with 6 games in 6 nights all over the continent. How is that even possible? The players can't even sleep.
My first year with the Brooklyn Islanders enjoyed some success. Won the President's Trophy, John Tavaras won the Hart, Lindsay and Richard (50G). Travis Hamonic won the Norris (82 GP- 11G, 42A, +53). However, we lost in the second round of the playoffs to the Toronto Maple Leafs, which is ironic because it's the team I built up for three seasons. Here's my line up for 2016-2017 season. Hoping to win the SC this year.
2016-2017 Brooklyn Islanders
B. Ryan (86) - J. Tavares (90) - P. Kane (89)
N. MacKinnon (82) - D. Backes (83) - S. Lindberg (85)
R. Malone (81) - J. Bailey (82) - K. Kabanov (73)
J. Rissanen (78) - B. Pirri (80) - J. Hodgman (78)
G. Reinhart (88) - K. Yandle (86)
B. Mcnabb (80) - T. Hamonic (85)
K. Lowe (78) - O. Hospelt (63)
Important Notes
- Traded Rick Nash to the Washington Capitals for Bobby Ryan
- Traded Matt Moulson and Michael Grabner for David Backes and a second round pick
- Drafted Sven Lindberg #1 overall in the 2015-2016 NHL Draft with a 76 overall rating. After one season in the minors, his rating jumped to a 85 with a 4.5 yellow star rating. He currently leads the team in scoring with 7 goals, 4 assists in 11 games played. His shooting attributes: 95, 99, 98, 99

Last night's contest marked the 10th game in the 2012-2013 campaign for the Columbus Blue Jackets, who came out strong, posting 3 goals in the opening frame, but let Calgary creep back into it.
Cam Atkinson opened the scoring as he spotted a loose puck in the crease that slowly slipped through the 5-hole of Calgary backup netminder Andrew Raycroft and jabbed it home before a Calgary defenseman could clear it. Veteran Vinny Prospal would add to the lead a few minutes later, finding the twine with a wrister that beat Raycroft just over the glove. In the dying minutes of the first, Matt Calvert would convert on his second of the year, potting a rebound goal on a 2-on-1 to give Columbus a 3-0 lead heading into the intermission.
Steve Mason held the fort down through 52.5 minutes until Blake Comeau deflected a Jay Bouwmeester point shot into the Columbus goal. The play would be reviewed and the video goal judges in Toronto concluded that Comeau's stick was at or below the crossbar and declared it a good goal. Jiri Hudler would score on the next shift, planting a seed of doubt, but Columbus would hold on for the 3-2 victory, despite a late powerplay after an R.J. Umberger slashing penalty.
The Blue Jackets, now 4-6-0, are exceeding expectations, although most experts believe that they are still a dark horse team to make the playoffs.
Columbus' division rival, the St. Louis Blues, continued to bolster their roster, adding veteran forward Daniel Alfredsson to their lineup on November 5. The move sent prospect defenseman Ian Cole, a former 18th overall pick, to Canada's capital. Ottawa fans were understandably upset by the trade as Alfredsson had played all 16 seasons of his NHL career in Ottawa, captaining the team for much of that time.
Columbus and St. Louis will square off on Thursday night.

I remember one season in NHL 12, the Canucks had 8 games in 10 nights. Of course, they were all on the road.

Rhett Rakshani is an 83 after one season in my islanders be a gm. He had 85 points in Bridgeport haha and I drafted McKinnon 1 overall and have him on top line with Tavares and moulson he's a beast 5 goals in 4 games
I started a new GM when the sens, expecting a playoff run but was the WORST team in the league... Traded Bishop, Regin and a 2nd for PHI 1st rounder, which turned out to be the 2nd overall pick. Wanted to shake up the team so I traded Michalek, two second round picks and Barker for Benn and Robidas, Benn scored almost a goal per game for me. Anderson was terrible in net so I traded him for a 1st rounder and the trade deadline, Vancouver offered me 2 first rounders for Filatov, Neil and a few 3 star prospects so I took it. Drafted both Mackinnon and Shinkurak with the 2 first picks in the draft.
Lehner jumped to an 84 overall, playing 40 NHL games, 40 AHL games and 19 AHL playoff games, won the Calder cup after finishing the best team in the AHL, also stacked the team for the playoffs sending Turris, Cowen, Silfverberg and Benn down.

Rakshani is ridiculous in my Be A GM. I don't play as NYI, but he had 3 consecutive 90+ point seasons. Never heard of him before in my whole life.

He's an AHL star in real life, but he likely will never amount to anything at the NHL level (think Brett Sterling, Jason Krog, etc.). He'll be 25 in a few months with 7 career NHL games (for the Islanders) and 0 career points.
Rakhshani's one of the few California-born players who have been drafted.
Another example of EA's lack of accurate scouting.

Another example would be Jakub Silfverberg. He led the SEL in both goals and points, won the season MVP, won the PLayoff MVP and captained his team to the championship. They list him at a 62 overall, one of the worst overalls in the SEL, where is the logic there?

Same thing w/ Damien Brunner and Roman Cervenka. These guys were amongst the best players in their respective leagues last year, earned themselves NHL contracts, and will never make the NHL in the game (Cervenka, despite being in the game, isn't even on Calgary's roster, either).
