You may wait awhile, the guy that replaced Joy is terrible.

Did anyone notice the Lehner headbutts? Frickin' awesome.

Da Costa barely saw any ice. I don't know what's up there. Is he still injured or does Luke just not like him? He made a few nice plays and drew a penalty in his limited time.

Watch the video of the 2nd fight. He jumped in because Silf and Zibby were getting mugged and no one was doing anything about it. Would you have preferred to see those two guys get pounded ? I'll be looking for one of your posts further down the road to complain about Sens players not standing up for each other, I guess.
It was his second fight (I stand corrected), third major penalty, which is an automatic game misconduct. Whether he deserved the original call or not isn't relevant.

How you arrived at the conclusion I am against players defending themselves from my post is just incredible. Had you read the post I was responding to, you would have realized I was suggesting a double standard was being used, not criticizing Boro.

However I have played the game enough to know Luke wasn't pleased with either Lehner or Boro last night.

Lastly, I believe if you watch that sequence again you will see it was Schneider was getting a face rub and that neither Silf or Zibby were being manhandled as you suggest.

IMO Da Costa is having trouble establishing any offensive presence or creating any flow for his linemates.

His problems may be a result of him missing so much of training camp.

Yea, just give Da Costa time. He proved he could be a 1c last year when Locke was out, and I see him getting there again this year eventually. Pageau didnt play bad at all as the 1c, but it looks like Richardson has already taken him out of that role, so its up for grabs, and Da Costa has the most talent out of any of our centers right now.

I'm getting frustrated by the lack of DaCosta. He has been productive and usually in the offensive zone most of the time when he's on the ice. Maybe Richardson trying to ease him.

When would be the appropriate time be then exactly?

A team that cant hold onto a 5-0 lead is pretty brutal.

Hopefully Bishop is in for back-up, just in case.

Should a new GDT be made?

You should make one since the game starts in 10 mins and it looks like nobody else will.

Same black screen as yesterday. Indeed some discrimination against Bingo here.

Thanks Ski ... hope things are well with Zeke. I really like that line & glad Luke put DD, Grant & Stone together, they have good size, have grit & toughness on that line & they can all score. This is a line I hope to see in Ottawa eventually. I also like it that they have Zibanejad playing centre, I prefer to have bigger centres than some of the smaller players we have playing centre. I really like Bingo this yr, nice combination of size, toughness & scoring, they are going to be a tough team to play against & could be dangerous.

From today's Ottawa Sun:

Quote:
Lehner, of course, is also second on the team in the penalty minutes department. But those who think his much-publicized fight with another goalie in a game a couple of weeks ago is a sign the 21-year-old Swede still has some maturing to do, well, they should think again.

“I don’t see that,” said MacLean. “Now I’ve only seen Robin play six or seven times, but I felt that in that situation I witnessed that night, I would have done the same thing.

“He got run a few times and he got absolutely shish-kabobed, in my opinion they shish-kabobed him, and then they fell on him, and then they gave him the rabbit punches when he was down. I have no problem with what he did. His reaction was what I would have expected.

“The fact he stood up for himself and got tossed out of the game, I saw nothing wrong with that. I thought he was demanding his share of the ice, being competitive. It was a situation that I wasn’t surprised by his reaction. I thought he did the right thing.”
So eat it.
