I'm pretty sure their first line is Harper McDavid Brown.
Harper doesn't play with McDavid. J.P. Labardo is the third member of that line.
Some thoughts on seeing Erie and Mississauga live today (keep in mind, 3rd game in 3 days for Erie).
Fantastic game from Percy. I've been really impressed with his play so far this season. At both ends of the ice, might I add. Offensively, I've been really impressed with his ability to skate the puck out of his own end and make smart decisions to start the breakout. Perfect example of this today was when Connor McDavid looked like he had backed Percy into a corner and a turnover, but Percy stayed calm, waited for McDavid to go for the stick check, then spun away from him, through two other Otters and brought the puck up across the blueline. He looks very confident on the point of the powerplay too, where he's shooting the puck more. Defensively, he's been a rock. I honestly don't even remember the Otters having a scoring chance while he was on the ice today. He's playing physical too and winning battles in the corners and in front of the net because of it. This was an important year for Percy after last year's issues, so it's refreshing to see him back strong.
Regarding Brown, Having a great year in terms of goal scoring, but it's hard to tell whether it's because of McDavid or not. At this point, I still don't see Brown as a guy who's creating his own offensive chances by being electric with the puck, or by flying into the offensive zone. He's certainly not a speedster, and his skating ability still seems to lack that explosiveness (something that caused him to fall as far as he did in the draft). But he definitely knows how to move without the puck and is a smart player. Perfect example of this was his goal today on a give and go with Connor McDavid. On the Powerplay, take the puck from the wing, dish to McDavid at the side of the net, cut hard to the net, get the puck back in the slot and rifle home a quick wrister. Other than that, he was a non factor today.

Brown reminds me of Rattie, in that nothing overall is that standoutish, just that they know how to play hockey well. The skillset itself isnt mindblowing.
Kind of like a clarke macarthur too, who I might say I am not a fan of.
Point are gravy with the type of player Biggs can be, hope people were watching the sportsnet feature on him. A player who can play possibly on the top 6 with the physical intimidation he can bring are very rare in the NHL. Right now only Milan Lucic is a player that has this quality in the NHL.
Not a Leafs draft pick, but glancing at guys that I liked prior to the draft.
I mentioned Dave Morrison had interest in this guy, but we didn't have a 3rd or 4th rd pick.
Gemel Smith, 22pts in 17GP, 9 of them goals. +12
This kid is having a fine season, would have loved it if we drafted him but we couldn't nail down a pick at #104. This one could be a steal for Dallas.
Another kid I liked Dalton Thrower, statistically is having a fine year, a + player on a team of minuses. Including Siemens a former #1 pick at -10. This one has the makings of a Habs steal. Think he is exactly the type of D man missing from the Leafs.

If you've been watching the Marlies someone who can put the puck in the net at all seems to be in short supply.
All the pretty boys in the world are meaningless if they can't finish to job.
Sounds like Brown might be what the doctor has ordered.

using his big frame to create space and his skating ability to find open lanes to drive the net. He stands 6-3 and is a natural goal scorer with plenty of confidence.
He's a scout's dream in the way he prepares himself and plays an unselfish game, making smart decisions with the puck. With his bloodlines, he certainly understands what it will take to make it at the next level.
Game over, Rizzly scores from the traffic for Hitmen.
Greg Chase had 3 assists Saturday. I didn't see Saturday, but have seen a couple games with Chase, and he looks like someone who might be a dark horse for the draft.

Not sure McArthur is a good comparison. He's a pretty good skater and is more of a defensive forward than the two you mentioned.
Players like Rattie and Brown often get overlooked as they arent big and not exceptionally fast. This causes a lot of concern on whether their game translates well to the NHL level. Thing is, skating can be improved and players still have some room to get bigger and stronger. Hockey sense, cleverness etc. isnt something easily taught, so you do see a number of these types of players end up being much better than scouts initially thought.

I really wanted Thrower with our 2nd rounder. Like you said, just felt he has that toughness and sandpaper that could really compliment the likes of Reilly/Gardiner etc down the road. Not disapointed with Finn, so will have to wait to see who turns out the better player.
just finished watching Oshawa vs. Kingston. Despite point totals tyler played well last night. IMO he is starting to get very comfortable with the puck being on his stick, i counted around 10 excellent passes. I didn't personally want him to go to oshawa even though i could watch him every game as i thought U of Miami of O woulod be better for his offensive game but i was wrong. The speed and skill of the ohl is really benefitting his hockey sense.
Great night for the 96's aswell (dal colle, spencer watson, Sam bennett, roland mckeweon). So much high end talent
